ehh,i thought someone posted this already?

NintendoHTF1242 9th October 2009 04:03 AM

Yeah, there really is no need to post this in the Ayu section. Seeing as how it was already posted in the Asian Music Chat Forums.

MissElin_ 9th October 2009 04:32 AM

^Last year was just because PCDL was longer then CDL usually are. Othervice she is somewhere in the middle...?

It's gonna be great to see Amuro too! ^^

It does have to do with Ayu though.

I've watched this show before, hope the girls (red team) win!! =D

polka-dot-jewel 9th October 2009 05:31 AM

lol Not everyone goes to the Asian Music Section. Some people didn't know she'd be performing at it this year.

Honestly, I'd be more surprised if she didn't perform at it. Will this be her 10th or 11th time there?

nanakopy87 9th October 2009 05:46 AM

i know she didn't perform once last few years, right

rusuke 9th October 2009 05:54 AM

Wow! Looking forward to this!

Thanks for sharing!

jbrat2219 9th October 2009 05:55 AM

Something tells me Ayu will knock em dead this year!!!! Her lives this year have been amazing :D

zoomzoom 9th October 2009 06:01 AM

It concerns ayu and it is an ayu forum after all, so it's perfectly acceptable.

rakeru 9th October 2009 06:08 AM

i find it funny that she's facing off against TOKIO. but seems to me like all the better artists are on the red team, so power to Ayu!

polka-dot-jewel 9th October 2009 06:21 AM

^ She usually faces off against TOKIO, heh. She has the past couple of years, anyway.

I bet the White Team will win. The Red Team hasn't won since 2004, heh. True, the performances are usually great, but it all comes down to popularity, and Johnny's is huge, esp. ARASHI, and they're all on the White Team.

And, to answer my question from earlier, this will be Ayu's 11th appearance on the show. =D

SURREAL__RAINBOW 9th October 2009 06:32 AM

what is that about red team and white team? lol

the red team rocks btw!! xD

thanks for this info ^^

EDIT: just saw the wikipedia thing... xD cool!

love in music 9th October 2009 06:37 AM

i'm excited for this. ayu and namie, ai otsuka and ayaka! yay

:yes, she has been a lot better live this year. it all started with the Days lives at the end of last year imo.

taskinillusion 9th October 2009 06:40 AM

Awesome! Go Red Team! Basically everyone I love is on the Red Team!

waterballoon 9th October 2009 06:44 AM

No alan in red team...

But yes Tohoshinki in white team! Woo woo

Bigtop 9th October 2009 06:48 AM

Thanks for sharing - I think this is going to be the BEST Kouhaku we might ever see! It's great to have Arashi be in the nominations list, and hopefully Arashi accepts their nomination, especially when they REJECTED their last year's nomination - we'll just have to wait and see the official words from the NHK who will be entering in the Kouhaku...

And by the way, is THIS the list of confirmed entries, or is this a list of invitations/nominations of who would be coming to the 60th Kouhaku? This only lists 50, but generally the Kouhaku restricts the number of entries to 54...

It's great to have Ayaka running for possibly one last time before her hiatus, and it's too bad Mr. Children is not here all because of lack of single/album releases this calendar year up to this point; I think this might be really exciting. And I might be wondering how this will really work out, from who will be officially entering the Kouhaku to how the Kouhaku will really end, especially last year it was just the final "digital" tally in studio who won, when in 2008 the dramatic lighting of the Tokyo Tower was done to see who won, and in 2007 the famous "ball system"...

I actually miss that famous "ball system" already.

pommy48 9th October 2009 06:50 AM

^ this seems to only be the "expected performers" list

if it was official, it would probably include the song they'll sing

ownsarai 9th October 2009 06:58 AM

Well, if she is going to be there, I wonder what song she will sing.
Go RED team!

SunshineSlayer 9th October 2009 07:03 AM

I think this is the list of "hopeful" performers. Kohaku always has tons of enka singers and there are none on either list.

Still though, I'd be surprised if Ayu didn't go.

Crystal_Ageha 9th October 2009 07:04 AM

Meh. Not really a fan of anybody on the white team... But the red team has AI, ayaka, Kumi and Ayumi. Go red! :heart

Aderianu 9th October 2009 07:16 AM

I want to know what song she will perform ^^ Hope, that's will not be Sunset

polka-dot-jewel 9th October 2009 07:21 AM

Last year she performed "Mirrorcle World"... that was a special exception, I think they said, because she opened for the first time, and they wanted to really change and open it with a "bang" haha.

I do wonder what she'll perform this year, too. She always releases winter singles, so I wonder if she'll perform that or something from earlier this year...?

jbrat2219 9th October 2009 07:24 AM

Doesn't Kouhaku choose the songs the artists have to perform?

IYFreak 9th October 2009 07:31 AM

I hope she performs a new song, like a nice ballad and not sunrise/sunset.

SunshineSlayer 9th October 2009 07:38 AM

^ I can just imagine how dead the Kohaku audience would be if she performed Sunrise. I'm guessing it will be a new ballad we haven't heard yet.

As far as I know, they do not. They may give suggestions, but ultimately it is up to the artist/record company. They do make you cover up your tattoos though. ^_^ Interestingly in 2002, Namie performed Wishing on the Same Star and had her tattoos showing. I imagine they must have gotten a lot of complaints because the next year she had them covered with makeup for her performance and that's the only time I've ever seen her cover hers for a performance. She hasn't performed on Kohaku since then. Also Ayumi obviously had to cover hers - which was kind of strange last year actually because it seemed like a last minute thing. She didn't have it covered with makeup but with a large bandage that stood out - obviously she had been covering that tattoo at Kohaku with makeup for the last several years, it was only last year that she had a bandage over it.

maaya 9th October 2009 07:44 AM

Yay~ Ayu and ARASHI!!! I really want to see Kouhaku this year.

oooo Great! I can't wait. *_*

The white team will win again lol (ARASHI).

maze 9th October 2009 08:31 AM

^ this is just an expected list.. not the official

truehappiness 9th October 2009 08:56 AM

I don't think this forecast-thing is official.

Tasked 9th October 2009 09:04 AM

Thanks for posting this here, else I wouldn't have read it. Kouhaku is the most important peformance of the year, so I'm glad Ayu's most probably gonna attend it again. And hopefully she will not her latest single. A new song, or maybe 'Curtain Call' will be a good idea.

njanjayrp 9th October 2009 09:24 AM

AAA and SID o.O I'm also glad to see JUJU there. As someone said it would be weird if Ayu wasn't on the list ^^

C+R+E+AYUMI 9th October 2009 09:25 AM

WOOOOOOOOW!!!
that's great! the red team with Mika, Ayu and Namie is ..

can't wait

Choyan 9th October 2009 10:59 AM

It white team like....a guys team??? =.= looks like most/all males are on white, all/most females on red >_> lol~~

Meat Pao 9th October 2009 11:12 AM

^ Yeah, 'cuz the show is something like a male vs female singing competition :P

PEARL 9th October 2009 11:24 AM

YAy omg.
i can't wait!
isn't ayu writing a new song or something?
maybe she'll perform that song?

thinkingoutloud89 9th October 2009 11:30 AM

Isn´t this just the prediction list we get every year?

jpopfan018 9th October 2009 12:14 PM

Thank goodness this is not the confirmed list. It would be rather disappointing to have kouhaku without SPEED.

TITANIC 9th October 2009 03:01 PM

eww. no SPEED this year. i still doubtful red team could win

Hydeki 9th October 2009 03:09 PM

yay! Ayumi will do a great performance ^^ . I hope the red team will win this time...

Crystal_Ageha 9th October 2009 03:16 PM

^ Me too. The red team definitely has the best singers, but the white has all the popular boybands. >_<

AyumiBest 9th October 2009 03:36 PM

I really hope the Red Team will win this year. GO AYU! XD

AyuHamasaki01 9th October 2009 03:40 PM

Namie Amuro will perform too :yatta

I wonder which songs Ayu will perform :yes

thinkingoutloud89 9th October 2009 03:40 PM

as said
I read in other forums that thsis is stilla prediction by Oricon
they do this every year
none of the artist is confirmed

noidea 9th October 2009 03:40 PM

looks okay...but what are Perfume doing there AGAIN? They do not belong on a MUSIC show.

polka-dot-jewel 9th October 2009 04:47 PM

^ They're a band... they're popular. NHK picks the artists / bands who have had a lot of activity and high sales and who are popular and such. They're cute and their songs are catchy, and the Japanese people really eat that up.

Well, if this isn't the final list, can't wait to see who's actually performing. Unless Ayu does another 3 1/2 hour concert, we'll probably see her there lol

nemesisyume 9th October 2009 07:23 PM

Hope it will be a new winter song (something like M please :roflmao)

The white team has plenty of good singers on it too. :) In terms of vocal ability, a lot of people might actually side with the white team over the red I think actually.

Ayu_Ready 9th October 2009 11:31 PM

miliyah?! amuro?! wow :D:D

and of course ayu <3 haha

and w-inds. :D

alternarist 10th October 2009 04:16 AM

ayu better not sing Sunset.

Lol. So much hate against me whenever I was just telling the truth. D:

Sunshine, I didn't say all of them were boybands, I just meant a lot of them are. And that's, obviously, true. So don't put words in my mouth, please. Also, I never said the white team had terrible vocalists, just that they're not as good as the red. Which is also true. EXILE, and the others, may not be bad singers, but they're not amazing; they certainly can't compete with, as I said, AI, ayaka or Kumi. And that's a fact. And Superfly, the best out of everyone...? No freakin' way. She is above average in singing ability, from the album I heard, but certainly not the best. You obviously don't know a lot about singing. :\

TL, there was no need for that last comment. I never, as I said to Sunshine, dismissed the boybands' vocal abilities. I simply said that they are not as good as singers as many on the red team. Also, Masaharu, yes, he's a very good singer. But Ken Hirai..? Not really. He's average, at best. As far as Ayumi's vocal ability... Her vibrato may be awkward, but I'd like to see you pull it off. I really doubt you could. It takes a great amount of control in your voice, and a lot of people don't have that. Not to mention her range is very good for just a pop star. She didn't start out very good, but Ayumi is an impressive singer now. And about Mika... Just because her voice is raspy, that doesn't mean she's a bad singer. She also has a very good range, and she has a great polished sound. You, also, seem to not know much about singing. >_<'

And I hope that comment above me isn't directed towards me, Karen. D: I would be hurt if somebody thought I didn't pay attention to the lesser known bands, because you have NO idea how many hours I've spent listening to unknown artists, only to be disappointed. I do give everybody a chance - I listen to at least one full album before making any judgment of them - so you can't say I'm biased or that I don't know because I'll only listen to certain people.

^ THIS :yes

That was the assumption I had when I was reading Crystal_Ageha's past posts on here

I apologise if I somehow misunderstood what you have written/wrote but you were giving me the assumption that ayumi's the best vocally outta the whole group of artistes that might be appearing at Kouhaku in due time

In response to Ken Hirai since he's 1 of the 1st few jpop artistes that I listened to when I started my jpop music journey , have you seen his live performance/concerts ?

how many artistes you know out there that can sound great if not even better live as compared to what you can hear on a CD ?

you just go & see his Ken's Bar performances gigs & it's just him with the microphone & just singing acapella & nailing almost every single song in perfect pitch

mcluva420 10th October 2009 05:20 AM

i think shes totally going :thumbsup

and..omg!
Namie!
AI!
kuu!
mika!
ai otsuka!
angela aki!
:luv2

this is too good to be actually going to be true :rolleyes

waterballoon 10th October 2009 05:50 AM

Oh Ken Hirai you sing worse than Ayu now... :weep

Anyway, I don't listen to the Johnnys but I do respect their omg-sales (it's really envious, XD) and I think Ayu will be in the event and God no please do not sing Sunset cos that single is over and done with, and the white team will win because... they do, :laugh

yoshino 10th October 2009 08:43 AM

Yeahh!! Of course Ayu shall appear at Kouhaku!! Hope her performance is the best!!
Hope the red team wins for once!!

SURREAL__RAINBOW 10th October 2009 08:45 AM

ohh if they pick the song and not ayu, they should pick a song from NEXT LEVEL xD I would love to see Curtain call <3

maze 10th October 2009 08:50 AM

^ wow. a TV performance of Curtain call would be awesome :luv2
but I hope it is of a new ballad single..

njanjayrp 10th October 2009 09:20 AM

^ expect either Rule or something from a new single.

This has never been a vocal contest lol, but the popularity one. Why do you think that the majority of artists they invite are the ones that sold the best during the year in question.

chloeM 10th October 2009 09:32 AM

ayu's in my RED~!

StarSUCKER 10th October 2009 09:48 AM

If Ayu performs in a New Years Eve music festival, doesn't that mean no CDL?

pommy48 10th October 2009 09:52 AM

^ she perform at Kouhaku first, then she goes off to CDL

asmAyumi1992 10th October 2009 10:08 AM

What is the red and white team is all about? I don't understand that written in the wikipedia

SunshineSlayer 10th October 2009 10:09 AM

Red team is the women's team. White team is the men's. It's a competition with the women vs. men.

njanjayrp 10th October 2009 10:25 AM

I personally don't care that much about the majority of so called "artists" on the white team. The only certain thing is that the red team is more diverse when it comes to just about everything at least in my opinion.

PEARL 10th October 2009 10:44 AM

We still have not received news about a potential upcoming CDL this year for Ayu...what's going to really happen?

And I think that Arashi might have a shot of going into the Kouhaku because I don't think there's any kind of Asia Tour they have right now - it might be their BIG chance here...

JackieRos 11th October 2009 07:07 AM

i hate them all from any artist unless the song is not too balladsty (not a word but)
songs like CAROLS, walking proud etc... i can stand but others i just skip

There isn't that much to choose from :P

I still think she'll either do Rule or a new song ^_^

waterballoon 11th October 2009 02:37 PM

^ Speaking of which, there's only GREEN, Days, Curtain call and Sunset IF she follows the traditional Kouhaku "format" and has no new singles till then.

Rule would be cool but usually singers perform ballads in Kouhaku. The only exception(s) for Ayu were fairyland in 2005 and Mirrorcle World last year.

Still, I hope for a new song. :yes
