Introducing lela (New artist)

lela (レラ, which means wind in an old japanese tribe language) passed the USEN U-Get chance Audition in 2000 but it wasn't till 2009 when she was signed to a major label, Sony.

Her debut mini-album Hadaka no Tsuki (Naked Moon) was released last week (October 7th) which and was used as Panasonic radio CM song.

In the past she released her music under indie labels in her birthplace Hokkaido.

It is said that she has composed about 500 songs through all her life.

My opinion: she has a GREAT voice and RURUTIA fans may like this artist too :D

aww thats so sad...i really really like this song alot.... how sad.....i hope she continues...hang in there.. rurutia is doing ok and she never does promotions..she is very very private ..but she has released many albums..maybe the same can happen for her.

...I'm not trying to sound mean but why even sign her on if she can't do something as essential as promoting her work? Compared to so much garbage out there that charts it's sad that this didn't.

Looked everywhere for the lyrics to Hadaka no Tsuki (goo, Yahoo music, even 2ch) but couldn't find them ( :( ). Her pronunciation of some words is quite nuanced///

Brandy developed the fear after performing in front of people for a while. It just sort of happened.

I've just being doing some research on lela, what are the chances of her being Ainu? Her stage name is an Ainu word meaning "wind" and she's also from Hokkaido... maybe I'm just thinking too much? XD

The difference between the cases is that, like you said, with Brandy it developed (and she was able to perform and become popular and successful beforehand) while poor Lela has apparently had this for a long while and she will probably never have a successful career in this industry. I mean, did you see her in that documentary? She wasn't even able to respond to someone asking her a question.

I don't remember if it was a producer or what, but a guy said that she was a singer, not a speaker, so it didn't matter if she had that issue and although that sounded very pretty and poignant when I heard it, I can't agree with it.

It's a shame because I can't remember the last time a new singer blew my mind like this.

Oh, by the way, I wasn't aware that after the remix of Hadaka no Tsuki there was another version of Tenshi no Koe. :)

The song sounds so plain, and boring to me. And in spanish, lela means dumb female LOL
