Ayu's Days Inspired Fashion

So, I don't think this has been posted before, so I'm gonna share. Popular gyaru fashion magazine Popteen has used Ayu's outfit in Days as inspiration for their December issue.

TeddyGrahams 1st December 2009 03:20 AM

That is cute! >.<! I really like Days' hairstyles

panda♥ 1st December 2009 03:29 AM

very cute. :D everything looks comfortable, except i dunno why some girls would leave their legs bare in the winter months for the sake of fashion~

happiholic★ 1st December 2009 03:47 AM

^I agree that it's crazy, but I don't think it gets that cold in Japan. It doesn't usually go below 0 degrees Celsius, and doesn't snow much.

rakeru 1st December 2009 06:24 AM

that's cute! one of the pictures actually looks like her. i've also been wondering why Popteen stopped featuring Ayu? obviously they still appreciate her style...

taskinillusion 1st December 2009 07:56 AM

I love it all! That is such a wonderful look, so it doesn't surprise me that they want to use it. :)

yoshino 1st December 2009 08:31 AM

That's nice, I'm glad Ayu is still an icon of fashion for teens :P I lurrrrve the Days outfits, I wish I could find them in stores near me because I'd never get time to make them ;_;

AyUta 2nd December 2009 02:02 AM

gallowsCalibrator 2nd December 2009 02:09 AM

I like the outfits on the bottom right of both pages the most lol.

Ayumiko 2nd December 2009 02:23 AM

I also love the Day's outfit. Glad to know ayu still have influence in fashion.

Lanz16 2nd December 2009 11:51 AM

I like the overall design, so comfortable to wear.
My only complain to this is there's no leggings or pants. :(

Lora-Ayu 2nd December 2009 01:18 PM

I want to emulate that look~ It's so pretty! And looks fashionable & warm too... Thank you for sharing~ :D

AyUta 3rd December 2009 01:26 AM

Can you buy that outfit anywhere?

extepan 3rd December 2009 02:35 AM

OMG the first pic, the girl in the middle looks so much like ayu!!!

Kazeyomi 3rd December 2009 02:45 AM

aw wonderful outfits :heart
too bad that I'm fat :roflmao and they never looks good on me.

Gyarus sure love Ayu :yes thanks for sharing ^^

happiholic★ 3rd December 2009 05:56 AM

It's really too bad that this stuff is only popular in Japan. I think that, at least in Canada, with the rising interest in fashion and the cold weather, cuter winter fashion would be popular.

lol yeah its just crazy to just wear mini-skirts like that on winter :laugh
but they do looks cute !!!
n that one girl really looks like Ayu :luv2

Maemi 6th December 2009 02:53 PM

It's cute, I would like to own it :heart But I think I would die if I would go around in those clothes on -5 C.

AyUta 6th December 2009 08:45 PM

Here in Cali it's the fasion too, but we wear leggings and stuff to keep a little warm.

Mari-chan 7th December 2009 02:35 AM

I also like that style. It's nice. But I would not wear it in winter... would be a little bit to cold. And.. the other weather.. it would not fits me very well.
But.. I have a similar cap. (^-^) But thats all.

asmAyumi1992 7th December 2009 03:10 AM

Haha. I'll not wear them at my place. It'll be so sweaty and the people around would think that I'm crazy wearing the thick clothes in a hot day :D

It gets cold in Cali? How cold?

Also, I was looking at pictures of gals wearing these kinds of outfits on the street. They do wear leggings, so I think that these photos are sans leggings just to make them look cuter. Although, they should be telling girls what kind of leggings would look cute with these outfits.

TeddyGrahams 9th December 2009 12:20 AM

^ Like in the SF bay area and LA areas it barely gets below freezing. So this type of fashion is totally in for girls around here. I've seen girls wearing knitted wool clothing like this around campus and I was thinking about the days pv.

Besides most ppl wouldn't wear these skirts without like warm leggings right?

AyUta 9th December 2009 02:48 AM

^ Well, in Japan it doesn't seem that they were leggings at all. Maybe some, but a majority no. I may be wrong though. Although here in Cali, yes, we do wear leggings.

@Loveshine Well, it gets really cold. o_o Like, right now it's around 43F, and in the middle of the night we get into the 30's. This morning our car was frozen over x___x

happiholic★ 13th December 2009 01:55 AM

^In Canada, where I live anyway, that's decent weather for this time of year. In fact that's what we've been having up until about a week ago and everyone was freaking out like "Why is there no snow?!". And now it's covered in snow and down to what would be 23F in the US (Canada uses C). And Canada is so blah with their fashion, like it's only been in recent years that we have become known for our designers that there is very little cute stuff like Ayu's Days fashion. Can you tell I'm not a fan of Canada :P

But, it does get a lot colder than I thought it would in Cali. Canadians have this idea that places like that are sunny and warm and amazing all year round XD

AyUta 13th December 2009 11:52 PM

^ Oooooo nooo :laugh Not at all. It's freezing D: I can see my breath o_o I just wish it would snow in San Jose >_> Everyone says I'm crazy for thinking that :laugh I want to make things in the snow and have snowball fights :grumpy

If you give a look to recent japanese fashion magazines it seems the girls went crazy for the leggings, but they still have the culture of the naked leg.
I dunno how they can make it..When it's good you can have also 7-8°C in Tokyo, but in the northern areas it goes under 0°..
Anyway, i dunno how, they still make it.

Instead i cannot live without my Peuterey coats or leggings..even i'm not achilly person at all

AyUta 15th December 2009 01:12 AM

^ Oh really? Hm, interesting. I just don't see how they can go with naked legs :shakehead Just crazy D:

Chibi_Venus 16th December 2009 07:19 PM

That is such a cool and cute outfit! I'd love to wear it myself. X3 Unfortunately I don't have the legs for it but whatever! Haha :D

kumikomishitate 16th December 2009 07:51 PM

Canada doesn't have blah with fashion... At least here in Montreal we have a great fashion scene.

This is true. But, that's pretty much it for all of Canada. Toronto is starting to create a buzz, as is Vancouver, but they are nothing compared to Montreal, which is someplace that I don't go very often.

Yoake 20th December 2009 09:45 PM

I love that pull thanks for sharing^^

trinka 24th December 2009 08:04 AM

aaa~ I saw a girl wearing this at the train station! She had the coat on the last one(with the jeans), she was very cute. All those styles seem so nice and comfy :) I love the first belted numberr
