So, essentially we got the two songs and their pvs that everyone in japan will look at when they decide whether to buy the single or not

so: HOW WELL DO YOU THINK THE SALES WILL BE?

I hope it'll break 200K!!!

For me this single deserves better sales than Days/GREEN... +200k

nowadays it's difficult, but D/G almost made it, so at least I hope Yw/B will do as good as d/G did ^^

I want this single to do well because I feel like it's one of her strongest singles. Maybe 150-200k? I really hope it will at least outsell S/S.

I hope it outsell S/S, but I have no idea and I'm not so good at guessing sales lol

Definitely more than Sunrise/Sunset. This single is so much better, so I think it will sell better than S/S.

I think in between sunrise/sunset and rule/sparkle....but if it can sell more, that'll be awesome.:D

I'm hoping she can get to 200k, which I'm sure she will :). This single deserves it.

I think the release date is going to affect sales a lot. It won't sell as much as Days/Green because of it.

I'm thinking it probably will not sell more than Days/Green simply because neither of the songs are as catchy and easily accessible as Days was. We shall see though.

The sales of Ayu's singles are getting harder and harder to predict. There is practically no chance it will sell less than Sunrise/Sunset, because this time we have an extra edition + the gimmicks. Oh btw the MSta perf seems to have helped the ringtone is back to top3 again.

somemore she's going to perform at MUSIC STATION SUPERLIVE on Christmas so that will help sales

have you guys checked the sales rankings for yesasia, cdjapan.co.jp and hmv? ayu's single is coming out in like 4 days and it's not even in the top like...30 X_X preorders for january and february are selling more than you were.../ballad?! anyway, i hope it sells well...

Yesasia and CDJapan aren't really sites that say anything.
It's mainly non japanese people who pre-order from them.
Plus usually it should be the top on the first days of the pre-order not a few days before the actual release. xD

Reminding that even the first presses (on CDJapan) are over.

Also the best selling jpop album of the year of CDJapan of 2009 for example (which was ayu's NEXT LEVEL) sold around 1,000 there. XD

So yeah CDJapan and yesasia don't determine anything even if the single wasn't on the top positions at all.

I think You were/BALLAD all 3 versions were on TOP of CDJapan weeks ago ^^ People could buy it more than one month ago, so peopel who want it already preordered it.. ^^

Not necessarily.

They just ask a group 400 people if they are interested in a certain release and they give points accoring to the amount of people who were interested in purchasing that certain release.
That's why it's not that of an index since 400 can't represent a whole country or music purchasers. xD

They are right most of the time with the #1 positions but still it's just a minor index, so it doesn't say much.

I think this will sell more than A, Boys & Girls, SEASONS, M, evolution, and }{ all put together and I frankly DGAF what you guys say ( :P )!!

I think know that Ayu will sell about 100k in total.
Singles released around christmas normally sell less than singles released on another time in the year.

i say about 75k the first week and in total around 110-130k

good to hear that the single had topped the cdjapan/hmv/yesasia charts earlier... i'm still a little worried though~ i hope the single sells 150 thousand-ish... there ARE three covers after all and they're nice ones too unlike S/S -_-

100k is a very good number but i think it would sell something like 280k

I just hope it breaks 200K... The economy has gotten better in Japan, no? Maybe that will help a little.
