Ayu's blood type? It's disputed...

I thought Ayu has a blood type of an A, but it seems that the Japanese Wikipedia says that she has a blood type of an O, so who's right? Do we really know accurately what blood type does she have - blood type A or blood type O?

noidea 26th December 2009 07:06 PM

so...why does it matter?

Tom Punks 26th December 2009 07:08 PM

I always thought she had O.

Bigtop 26th December 2009 07:10 PM

Don't know why, but I think now we need the real answer...

In japanese culture, blood type is kinda like zodiac... they are used to know about one's personality^^

Crystal_Ageha 26th December 2009 07:48 PM

^ This. :yes

I thought she was O, as well... But it would be cool if she had A (which is also mine :P).

Bigtop 26th December 2009 08:46 PM

I searched and most sources say that Ayu has a blood type of A, but the Japanese Wikipedia and quite a few sources say that she has a blood type of O. Have we seen any evidence of Ayu having a blood type of O?

Andrenekoi 26th December 2009 10:56 PM

What's about her official site?

pommy48 26th December 2009 10:58 PM

http://www.avex.com.tw/4th/artist/ar...me=hamasakiayu

From Avex Taiwan's website

It list her blood type as A

Bigtop 26th December 2009 11:23 PM

Now this is quite confusing...how come Avex Taiwan says that Ayu has a blood type of an A when Wikipedia says that she has a blood type of an O? Or did someone in Wikipedia just changed the blood type information from an A to an O? Of course Ayu's official website itself does not have the blood type information...

pommy48 26th December 2009 11:25 PM

^ anyone can edit wikipedia, so it's not a credible source to rely on

panda♥ 26th December 2009 11:26 PM

you can't always trust Wikipedia. :/ i'd trust one of the official sites more than Wikipedia... anybody can change the info on Wikipedia anyway.

Bigtop 27th December 2009 12:37 AM

Yeah, maybe someone at Wikipedia just changed it on purpose...

AyUta 27th December 2009 01:36 AM

Yeah anyone can edit stupid wikipedia :P :laugh What does blood type A mean for the person according to the zodiac?

YuriChan 27th December 2009 01:42 AM

^They're a hard worker, I believe. More here! :D

Best traits: Earnest, creative, sensible
Worst traits :Fastidious, overearnest

I agree with that XD You can probably find more in depth characteristics through googling, I just got it through Wikipedia

Delirium-Zer0 27th December 2009 01:50 AM

In Popteen June 2002, Ayu says her blood type is A.

(see question 3)

AyuWorld 27th December 2009 02:46 AM

Thanks! :D

mcluva420 27th December 2009 04:48 AM

let's all go poke Ayu with needles to find out! :D jkjk

I always thought she was a type A, i never heard that she has type O before >_>

Ayu_no_tenshi 27th December 2009 09:51 AM

yep...definitely A

waterballoon 27th December 2009 01:51 PM

YES she's a A like me :D

Bigtop 27th December 2009 04:17 PM

Okay, do we agree that she has a blood type of an A? If she had an O, then maybe it's because someone at Wikipedia just "vandalized" and changed her blood type information...

waterballoon 27th December 2009 05:14 PM

^ he/she could also have heard wrongly... I mean Wikipedia is unreliable but I guess everyone has his reason for editing the information there lol

Crystal_Ageha 27th December 2009 08:12 PM

^ I think that's true. I've seen very many A-types with Japanese blood. I even remember Hikaru Utada commenting on that fact! :O

I just would like to point out that Wikipedia isn't as unreliable as everybody thinks it is. I've read several websites that have compared it to actual "official" published encyclopedias, and they have pretty much the exact same accuracy. And I believe this, because it's not as easy to post random information as everybody thinks. You HAVE to have a source if you want to change more than a few words, and it's like somebody checks an edited post IMMEDIATELY. (Okay, not always immediately, lol. But probably within an hour or so?) They can see what was edited and who edited it. If they find there is no source to go along with it, or if it sounds kinda "eeehhhh...," then they change it back to the previous version and inform you of why it can't be changed (because they log everybody's IP). You can't even add a picture without exact copyright information.
Even encyclopedias you find in book stores and libraries will have at least one mistake in them. After all, both they and Wikipedia are edited by humans, and we aren't perfect, of course. So don't be so negative, guys! I'm sure somebody was just mistaken on her blood type (they weren't trying to vandalize her or anything..), and whoever reviewed the edited blood type wasn't quite sure about it, either, and they just forgot about it and let it go, because...honestly, it's not that important, right? It's not like somebody messed up her discography page, saying she sold a million copies with her debut, "LOVE PUNCH". :P

aura~ 27th December 2009 08:15 PM

^oh, I delated my message by mistake... well.. before Crystal_ageha post I talked about how there's a common blood-type in every country that the majority of population have ^^

RyRyMini 28th December 2009 02:47 AM

She definitely has the personality of a person with type A blood.

Delirium-Zer0 28th December 2009 03:26 AM

I'm an A-Type as well.... and if you turn Ayu into a lazy, unambitious dreamer who loves sitting at her computer & researching things more than doing anything, you get me.

In other words, she and I are COMPLETELY different. XD

douggn 4th January 2010 08:05 PM

I bought a pirated cd of hers ages ago before I knew about it and it had a little info thing about here in it like date of birth, fav colour etc, and it says her blood type is A

gallowsCalibrator 5th January 2010 12:33 AM

Yeah, I think she has A :yes

Not really, we have lots of examples of vandalized pages, and I doubt they check listed sources everytime, + sources are not essential, I saw many articles with info tagget as "source wasn't listed yet"
But in this case I really think it's just mistype or smth

cabomba 11th January 2010 03:19 PM

I'm A too but not sure if Ayu's A too. She's a fashion trend setter and I'm a fashion disaster!

zyoeru 11th January 2010 05:29 PM

^ She's A, it's just blood types are extremely bad for that stuff. Best to stick with horoscopes. ;)

Delirium-Zer0 12th January 2010 05:22 PM

How about "best to stick with actually getting to know a person"? XD

koumori 12th January 2010 05:46 PM

^ Oohh, but horoscopes are fun! ^o^ When someone bothers to look up my horoscope and tell me about it, it makes me smile cause it shows they care. Horoscopes are cute! :3

Ayu_no_tenshi 21st January 2010 08:56 PM

why do people keep doubting her blood type even after Deli provided the proof. she said herself that she is A...

i WISH she were O like me :luv2
hahaha

:yes

But that's mostly only with English wikipedia and generally only often visited pages get checked, so there can be false information in like Japanese artists' singles' articles etc. in English wikipedia. I hate it when people say that wikipedia is not reliable at all. I think everyone who first heard of wikipedia and wikis thought first that it's not reliable like I did. People should just get over it...

And ayu's japanese wiki page is protected so only old registered members can edit it. In the article's editing history somebody changed it from A to O.

I went through some edits by this person who changed it and he/she doesn't seem like a troll. Weird...
