2010, New Album,and her 50th Single
 

Have anyone noticed this?

You were.../BALLADS is ayu's 47th single, and it seems that she will release her 50th single in this year if and only if the release pattern is going to be like 2009

2009 (Evidence) -> (Time for release) -> 2010 (Prediction)
RULE/Sparkle -> (Spring Release) -> 48th Single
Sunrise/Sunset -> (Summer Release) -> 49th Single
You were.../BALLAD -> (Winter Release) -> 50th Single

So, it is possible 2010 is another remarkable year for ayu because she has released 50th single in her career. And it means that she is the first one (I think) in doing so?

On the other hand, she likes to have a tour for promotion her album. Since the 2010 tour news is out, it possible means that there is a new album to be released soon.

So the questions for discussion are

[1] Do you think that 2010 is remarkable for her?
[2] What do you expect in her 50th single?
[3] If the releasing pattern is not the same as 2009, when do you want her 50th single to be released ?
[4] What do you expect in her new album?

I'm sure 2010 is gonna be remarkable for her and her team as every year has been since she started with her concerts, etc. ^^ It might be just another year for a new album and the tour of it, or it could be as you said the year for her 50th single.


I don't think her 50th single is going to be that big, the fact that is the 50th single is what is gonna make it a big thing to release, and probably bring up another tour like the stadium tour (*o*) or she might wait until the end of next year and have a 50th single anniversary Countdown live etc which I wouldn't mind :P


I wanted another single before a new album, cause sunrise/sunset was pretty weak, and You were... with BALLAD ain't enough to make it seem interesting. so after that album, maybe another single for september, and the 50th single for november :D


I don't wanna expect anything from her new album, I just dunno what to expect anymore, I just want her to have fun with it and try to put more ideas into her new stuff and not just let her team to do everything.

I'm not sure what to think. Personally, I feel as if Ayu's hit a bit of a slump. She's reaching for new styles and/or a new 'theme' in her music, and while I love the idea of reinvention, I HATE the transition period. We're at a transition period right now, so I just hope 2010 will bring Ayu to a point where she knows what look/style/theme she wants to go for and she pursues it to the fullest extent.

[2] What do you expect in her 50th single?

More of the same, I guess. If you mean to ask if I expect Ayu to do something special to commemorate it then I guess I could see avex pushing for some kind of recognition. Like a revamp of A MUSEUM in 2010.

[3] If the releasing pattern is not the same as 2009, when do you want her 50th single to be released ?

Whenever Ayu wants to release it ;)

[4] What do you expect in her new album?

I have low expectations, since NEXT LEVEL let me down a little... but I just hope her new album has a stronger sense of purpose, direction and a goal. I want Ayu to go into the studio and know EXACTLY what type of album she wants to make without losing any of the album's theme. I feel like her older releases, pre-Secret, were significant and fantastic, and everything since 2007 has been a little haphazard.

I feel like she's rising up again with her release on You were.../BALLAD, so I have high hopes for 2010 as well! I do hope she will NOT continue with the NEXT LEVEL sound though, go back to classic Ayu, or at least do something which is more in her area.

And I just don't want another BEST or COMPLETE yet.

Her album might be a spring release. Since she's releasing two singles for each album, and at the rate she's going following 2009's pattern, probably the 48th single will be a summer/autumn release and the 49th single will be an autumn/winter release?

That would probably mean her 50th single would be released next year, 2011? Maybe it's going to have the special long-case like MW or Days/GREEN, or avex might suck more money in by making it limited or have a deluxe edition or something. Haha. Maybe, if we're lucky, she would release it on her then 13th anniversary? They're probably going to make as big deal as it was for MW, which I think wasn't much?

Of course, she could just ditch the whole pattern, release a single a month after the album and somehow manage to squeeze the 50th single for 2010.

A museum was one of the most pointless concerts. concert for having 30 singles? wat the hell. I don't think she'll do anything special. It's just a single. not like it's her 50'th album or something. [/trolling]

^You think so? A Museum is still one of my favourite concerts, I don't think it was pointless at all.

I felt like A.M. was a showcase for the singles which had mostly hit #1, I think? So ... yeah, not really seeing what's pointless about that.

=\ I'm not even sure. I really liked BALLAD and the PV is very high on my list of favorites. I want something with an interesting PV because for me the PV's really influence which songs I listen to more I guess

She should take her time, shes the Queen; aint no one taking that away from her ;]

Expectations always make things seem dissapointing. I'm not expecting anything, SURPRISE ME AYU :D

Now we have "news" of a new tour. I don't know but this is the first time the first time they announce it that fast, it gives me the feeling of sth special, plus what ayu said of being it her longest tour and plus the big decision she told in TA months ago... I don't know... 2010 can be a remarkable year if the tour has something different fromt he past ones, not only the fact of being the longest one...

I also think that the pattern will be the same as thsi year... but being this year her longer tour... Well a longer tour can be just adding one more date (LOL) but I don't think this will be the case, there will be some more... so maybe she won't have time to release 3 single, and will only do 2... soo the 50th single would be for 2011... but well... for her 50th single I expect a 3 a-side single... nothing more ^^ and great song as always ^^ the fact of beig the 50th make it big itself... XDDD

Expect... I expect great songs as always... Yw/B are GREAT I love them ¡... I just can't think of an album with S/S buy she can't leave them out of it so... well... I expect it with a lot of songs, only 2 interludes and rockish/dark songs, sad ballads, and love sweet ballads ^^ I'll have enough happiness with Sunrise, but a song like STEP you would be also right ^^ Ok... I want a mix of memorial address and (miss)understood and a bit of MY STORY ^^ XDD (dreaaamming!!!)

imo, she's already working on her new album, so we can forget a spring single.

I am pretty sure an album is gonna be released first. Then a tour, then probably 2 singles. Probably ayu will keep the 50th single to kick start 2011 and a 2011 World Tour. :)

Not necessarily. Her 10th anniversary is over and there weren't a huge number of releases in celebration. I think 2010 will be same as usual, maybe her singles will contain more tracks now, in the vein of maxi-singles?
[2] What do you expect in her 50th single?
Hopefully it would be a song that takes off of her previous songs. Perhaps references to songs like SEASONS, M, HANABI etc xD Perhaps another megamix like in the S/S single. I think it will be a double A side although a triple (or another trilogy) would be wonderful. Most likely 1 upbeat pop track and 1 ballad.

At worst I think we'd get the 50th in 2011 for her anniversary. If Avex or Ayu feels mean to us we might not see it until April next year....but hopefully if they make us wait the singles would be as good as YW/B.

I'd like another MY STORY but I think it will be closer to GUILTY.

I think 2010 will be a better year for her. I just think Ayu needs a more focused direction, but yeah. It'll be a great year for her yet again.

Something epic... a ballad most likely. I have a strange feeling she already has an idea. I hope it's something she's composed... like, maybe she's been saving a special song for her 50th. I hope, anyway.

I can see an album being released in late February or early March. So, who knows? I think 2 more singles, another album (album released in early or mid 2011) and then her 50th single (the single will appear in her next compilation, which will HOPEFULLY be A BALLADS 2 *fingers crossed*

[4] What do you expect in her new album
I expect a more 'safe' effort this time around (if the recent singles are anything to go by). I really hope... REALLY hope, Ayu will put more ballads in there. In the end, though, I expect it to be better than NEXT LEVEL.

WELL... a song album definitely means we have an oppurtunity to get something good!! because ya each album may have been lacking in something sometimes, but there was NEVER an album i hated. i like each album and there's always a song that amaaaazes me. for NEXT LEVEL it was rollin', NEXT LEVEL, Sparkle, wow see it was so good! my peeve was that there were no real sad songs. but ANYWAYS because of that i think 2010 has the potential to be veeery remarkable. especially we get another chance to see good costumes, good setlists, and good albums/singles!

ughhh hopefully a triple/quadruple A side single!!! with a sick theme, or just something that won't get out of my head until the next single/album lol

I am looking forward to her new album, but I hope that after her 50th single she will announce taking a long break to (hopefully heal her voice a little) and, please correct me if I'm wrong on this, isn't her 50th single going to be the one that breaks Seiko's record if she gets the No. 1 at Oricon for You were.../BALLAD, 48th, 49th and 50th single?

what i want is when 50th single is out, Ayu will release some kind of Box Set like Britney Spears & Girls Aloud. A box set which contains all singles! all b-sides & remix (of a single) on one CD!

A Museum II!! It would be great if she performed all her singles in a single concert (of course, some of them in medleys because nobody can sing 50 songs one after the other lol)

I...... kinda don't hope so. I hope she will go back to the style she had about Secret-GUILTY area (not music style, but performance and so..). Off course, a 'comeback' would be great, but I don't expect that. So I hope she will just drop the at09 style and get 'normal' XD

I hope it will be rock songs, as I just don't really like ballads as You were... with her 'new' voice.. IF it's gonna be a ballad, I want something more as Together When...!

I hope it can be a fall rock-single!

Rock and big ballads (I don't say that I only like things like GUILTY album, but seriously, I won't like too many ballads where she's singing as You were...)

Well, NL was electro-inspired, but she did that before. But she had never done anything like Sparkle, which I love. She also released her ugliest Single cover to date, and released an album with practically no promotion (as compared to others) so yes it will be a memorable year.

[2] What do you expect in her 50th single?
I can say that I dont want another No way to say/Together when/ You were clone. Shes very versatile and can cover alot of genres so anything goes but I would really like a return to remixes on singles like Rule/Sparkle. She has some AWESOME remixes and it really makes buying singles worthwhile.

[3] If the releasing pattern is not the same as 2009, when do you want her 50th single to be released ?
Whenever she is done touring and resting so that it is not rushed.

How about some CREA?

I'm only concerned about her vocal actually....

Maybe. Something like PCDL that much more special.

Around February or after April. I don't really mind that. As long as I've got money on that day, it is awesome for me.

Something special that not only her Japanese fans would get. How about a free towel and not a limited. It'll be great! About the songs, I'm not really mind. But I'm hoping a more rock-ish or songs that we can dance along with.

Well to be honest, I don't think so. She has been gradually reducing her release schedule to make way to her tours. It's nice to connect to her fans but in the end she doesn't seem to be interested in anything else. But well who knows..? We might be surprised :)

I hope she will take some time to take vocal lessons and she'll take care of her voice. Also am I the only one who wishes she'd be reunited with Leslie Kee? Their photographic collabs were the best :)

Well if she goes down the safe route she'll have a ballad single to thank all her fans and a load of first press goodies. Hopefully she won't do that.

A summer single like H or & would be perfect but who knows if Ayu can still pull those off?

Ballads and rock songs are probably going to be her focus, unless she chooses another route. I hope she'll do something exciting and won't rush this one as she usually does.

I'm not sure about the album or the single, but one thing I am sure of is that after 2009, my expectations are so low that I'm sure I'll be ~somwhat~ pleased with whatever she puts out. I mean, 2009 imo had her worst cover, worst magscans, worst concert vocally, and more songs that I dislike than any other year in Ayu's discography.

I'm really not trying to sound jaded or bitter here, I actually AM seeing this as a point of optimism for the upcoming year. My faith in Ayu is still strong and (mostly) unwavering. I think she can kick ass again. I hope she will.

If she's seriously going to have her longest tour this year, then she should just use some of the great songs she's already come up with. I thought PCDL was a lot of fun with some of the older stuff!

I don't think 50th single is all that important this year. There's no point rushing to it. I don't want her singles to suck anymore =____= I think You Were.../BALLAD was the best since MW, I hope she keeps doing great work from now on and not keep going downward.

Well 2010 has barely started for her. Considering the singles in 2009 for her next album... I wouldn't say it's "remarkable". Decent probably, but with Sunrise's cover... ugh hell no "remarkable".

CDL 09-10 was entertaining though, I would give her that. I just hope she would rest her voice... I felt like she's driving herself against a wall by deciding to do "longer tours" this year... it's oxymoron in a way, but oh well, it's her decision.

It would be great if it's gonna surprise us... Mirrorcle World was a good example. So yeah, something like that, I guess.

Well most likely, it's gonna be the same, no? :P 2 singles before a new album again... so predictable, but oh well. Ideally, I want the 50th single to be released on April 8th, 2011... just for the sake of it.

BALLAD

I'm expecting:
4 interludes
2/3 "rock" songs
another ballad
another gross-cutesy pop song (think along the lines of EnergizE... ugh)

BUT I wouldn't mind all that, if she changed her musical style to something like MY STORY again. Oh God that was her perfect album.

I have a feeling that this year tour won't be anything special and so different from previous ones. I think that Ayu thought about the longest tour ever in more asian countries than in previous Asia Tours, when she said about it.

I really want new album... But it will be better if it doesn't appear fast. I really hope for 2 new singles, and later an album, in second part of the year (Maybe September?). I prefer to wait than get fastly a new album, which is bad and not thought-out. But, she'll have a tour, so it seems, according to my theory, that she won't promote the album by the concerts. But I can't see A MUSEUM II or something like this... of course, that title will be great, but with another concept. Maybe all single songs (from No way to say to present) with her well-known hits? That will be awesome.

I don't want another BEST... But it would be nice if she would release A BALLADS II *.* (wishful thinking? xD)
And yea, 50th single... will be released in 2011. So maybe have we to expect very special promotion and something like A MUSEUM II with A MUSEUM concept?:D

She didn't make it for her 30th single, though she made the A MUSEUM.
Well, if she make a special concert or a single with special goodies, it's ok, but a "special" packaged single isn't a necessity.

Something similar to Mirrorcle World. Not necessarily the same kind of song, but the massive promotion and really great music. First press, goodies, the whole nine.

I'd actually prefer it be released in 2011. She's going to have a very long tour this year and most likely an album release coming up soon. Last year Rule/Sparkle came out RIGHT before NEXT LEVEL and was also included in NEXT LEVEL. So if she's going to pump out 3 singles, we'll have to get another single right before the next album. So I'd like her to take her time. An album and two singles this year and her 50th next year.

Spectacular music as always. I love all her albums.

If she decides to change it up a bit from the last few years, maybe.

I actually think (for some reason) that the release will be brought up somehow so avex can cash in on it sooner than Ayu would probably like. Like some sort of 3 singles in 3 weeks deal or something.

Maybe autumn. Been a while since we had something that wasn't spring, summer, or winter related.
