Chiaki Kuriyama is a model and actress. she's most famous for her roles in Kill Bill and Battle Royale. she is signed with sony records and will release a single for the new gundam series "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn". it's called "Ryuusei no Namida" and will be released on 2/24. her stage name is CHiAKi KURiYAMA (the three i's symbolize the three sides of herself: "my true self as a woman, my true self as an actress, and my true self as a singer.")

OMG no way!! Kill Bill is my favorite action movie ever, and she's my favorite character!! I HAVE to buy this single! She was so effing kick-ass in Kill Bill!
One question though.. Is the Gundam-cover just a slipcase? 'Cause I really want her to be on the cover, not a picture of the anime. Does anyone know? :) thankies!

Debut single release from CHiAKi KURiYAMA featuring intro theme to anime series "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn." Comes with "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn" collector's box and post card jacket. *This Gundam edition features different songs from limited edition and regular edition.

So I guess that means it's a box / slipcase, AND a seperate jacket-card, similar to what ayu did with You were.../BALLAD.
That means I have to buy it!!! :D However that version doesn't include the DVD, so I'll have to buy 2 versions xD

Her debut single seems to be selling pretty well at CD Japan.

The limited edition sold out its preorders for a little while but it looks like they're getting more now.

Still, I'd suggest to anyone that wants the limited edition, to preorder it soon as it will probably go fast once it's officially released. :cool

When Chiaki was just thirteen, she released a fully nude photobook published by Shinchosa, photographed by Shinoyama Kishin. However, she had been only eleven at the time of photography. This is now out of print due to juvenile pornography laws and the company's own decision.

I watched her first pv. Her voice is good but her song it's really boring according to me

I knew Chiaki years ago, first when I saw her in Battle Royale. I wonder what took her so long to start music career coz Chiaki has been famous for quite long time.
So far I like Ryuusei no Namida but Kekkai IN MY BED sounds boring for me. Looking forward for her music. And I hope in future she can consider about change another name, it's hard to write CHiAKi KURiYAMA well :(

Of course, I don't really believe it and I don't think it'd make much of a difference to me even if it was true, but I was wondering if anyone's ever come across this claim before? I don't follow Japanese tabloids or entertainment sites/blogs so this is new to me. :P

She looks really different with it and that's something you can't say for a lot of other artists who try to change up their look. If you didn't know it was Chiaki you might think it was someone else.

The guitar parts featuring Tomoyasu Hotei are godly and my only critique is that I wish the drums were more prominent. They could've been multi-tracked in some sections to add a lot more thunder to the song.
