"ムラサキ" (Murasaki;; Purple) is a solo song from KAT-TUN's A-san, Akanishi Jin (& IT IS IRENE'S PERSONAL FAVORITE). it has not been released physically on a CD, but it was used as a solo performance for KAT-TUN's 2005 Arena Tour and you can view the performance of it on their DVD "KAT-TUN Live 海賊帆".

^we all know that Ueda and Jin are not on the same level for JE so the hope for a concert release might be more realistic.

Did you guys see the Osama no Brunch clip where KAT-TUN promoted their single? Jin looked totally and utterly bored. Everybody was really hyper and cracking up with jokes but he looked really...I don't know how to describe it, but I understand what people are talking about, when they say he looks like he doesn't want to be there. That clip was so funny and cute, KT-TUN really were having fun....I just don't know, what Jin is thinking, I don't think it's about the image, it's bordering on rude.....*sigh*

i know Jin's personality can be polarizing at times, lol. it's either love or hate. but i rather let him be himself rather than be another oh-look-i'm-an-idol personality (main reason i don't touch girl idol groups even with a 10 foot stick except for Perfume). even if it results in him being cold in front of TV. i think because he's a Johnny and an idol, he gets a lot more criticism on his personality.

it's probably why i like Jin too. he's the complete opposite of what JE stands for (yet my favorite is Kamenashi, aha). :shrug LESS CUTE, MOAR FIERCE. speaking of fierce, what about that Junno in THE D-MOTION PV. he was working his inner Jin. i love it~

Wow, loads of new KAT-TUN fans. That's cool, their music really rocks and they deserve more fans.

For Akanishi - well, he is an idol. He chose to be one. And I don't really think it would hurt him to look interested in what he's doing. Any other job and he would've been fired. It's not that I hate him or so. Actually I found him quite intelligent and understood his point of view in the Break the Records documentary. And I like his voice and music. But the way he acts on TV and with KT-TUN....like it is a pain to be there. He doesn't join the conversation, he doesn't smile when the others are rolling on the floor with laughter. I just don't understand that. It's like he's a robot. Without any character at all. Well, all of this has been said by other people before, so I don't bring anything new to the discussion. It just seems to me that the others (T-TUN) are trying so hard and never get any reward and Jin just looks bored and I'm-too-cool-to-be-on-boring-daytime-TV and gets movies, his own album, his own tour and probably a higher paycheck than all of T-TUN together. Maybe not....but...aahh...I don't know why but it just irks me. Maybe he'll come around. Or leave, if he hates it that much. Actually, maybe a permanent-solo-thing would really work better for him.

haha, i'm looking forward to the sales too. i can't wait for my singles. :)

continuing on the Jin convo, lol. i think the reason he hasn't left JE/KAT-TUN is the fact well...it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. i believe he knows what industry he's in. he's obviously expressed some discontent with it, but he sticks around. just an assumption, but i think Jin loves the performance, behind-the-scenes, creativity aspects of the idol life (KAT-TUN seems to be very hands-on with everything from music to stage), but doesn't like the rest of it and would rather leave that to KT-TUN. and i don't think he wants to leave YamaPi & Ryo either, lol.

but i don't mind if Jin wings it solo. or if...KAT-TUN is KUNTT again (:laugh) i'm at that point where i support all 6 members whatever they do as long as they like what they are doing. the fandom will explode though. LOL.

I love D-motion! but there is no way some of there voices can sound like that in real life, so I guess in lives they'll have to lip sync, but they can always dance awesomelly!

I think Jin does'nt like the image that comes with Johnnys maybe. The pretty boy image... but oh well >.>

EDIT: watching RESCUE which I missed out on watching in Japan, its so good!, but so sad sometimes, why did Koga have to die!!!!! PLus it has Nakamaru in it! he is cool coz he beat boxes!

I don't want to comment about Akanishi anymore because I gather the more if I were to say about him , the more bad/insulting things I will say about him so I leave it as it's

@ Brodie Boy - yeah Koga shouldn't have died in RESCUE X_____X . Is it any wonder I was staring at Yamamoto Yusuke a LOT more than Masuda & Nakamaru in the show ? xD

but RESCUE's no doubt a really solid drama & Nakamaru did a good job acting in in it

Nakamaru is a cutie and I think he has a big heart. I really like him. But I agree Yamamoto Yuusuke is a hottie, too. I don't really like his character in RESCUE, though. Have you guys seen Taiyou to Umi no Kyoshitsu? He is great in that one.

I get the meaning and all, but to be honest when people compliment or say somepart of me is fine that I don't like, I actually find it annoying, lol. But, I think its good to have someone who loves the parts of you that you think are bad as well as what you think is good.

EDIT: Nakamaru seems to be the guy with the best attitude in the group, not too shy, but not too confident and he is funny!!

I know right! I hate that, it's like "If you don't like yourself you cannot expect others to like you." I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. You just have to accept certain things about yourself. Not hate yourself, that's certainly not good but people who really love their own self are kind of disturbing, too.

Nope. If you want PVs you have to buy the singles. That's where Johnnys Entertainment gets all the money from. Album sales are never that good for Johnnys. (current exception is Arashi) It's exactly reversed from Ayu, for example. Her album sales are better than her singles.

I know that only one album come with an DVD, right? It was the 3. album "Queen of Pirates" and on the dvd was the "Don´t u ever stop" PV + Making.
I hope one day, they releas a PV Collection.

When I read your post, I thought you were talking about the exact same thing I noticed when I watched them talk before their performance on HEYx3... but this is another program! I don't know why Jin acts like this. Thing is, the fangirls won't care cos they thing he's cool or sexy or whatever and will love him either way. He is handsome, can sing and dance like no other but when I see him being grumpy while ALL others are talking or having fun at an interview, or when I see him just standing around at lives or concerts like 'hey lookit me I'm so kakkoi' while others are dancing and trying their 200% best for their fans..... in those situations, I feel so let down by him. Even tho he's not my fave.

About the D-Motion: teh awesome song. :D:D

I think its about his image.
1. He wants to maintain a cool image for his solo career
2. His always had this kind of quiet, cool guy image from before as well (its just gotten a bit out of hand now). I mean Johnnys even try to set up that image for him.
3. If he starts looking all hyper like everyone else, it would be a shock and ruin his image maybe.

I think this is part of it. I mean even in the covers of the new single he is thonly one not completely facing forward and he always wears those glasses. I think its an Image thing, but Akanishi really wants to protect that image to make sure he succeeds in his soloing. But, who knows. Maybe I'm just playing favourites coz I like the song bandage and I wanna see the movie.

BTW I can't believe I get into KT all of a sudden XD. Maybe its a combination of watch RESCUE and hearing new single...

Yeah too bad he plays too much on this kind of lazy image or whatever... Cuz for me he is still probably the hotest man alive with a great singing voice and dance abillity... But in the same time he still looks like a sweety. Would be better if he went a bit more buddy-like and happy again with the rest of KAT-TUN and not so full of himelf. He is indeed making it hard fo me cuz I do like him the most of them, but yeah... Im getting a bit tired of that image thingy. Fun at first, now its just... Ah get a grip of yourself...

I'm actually looking forward to see it cos I know the chances of them lip synching on MUSIC STATION will be low as compared to some other Johnny's band I know of who does that all the time even in their 'live' concerts & performances but if they were to do that for THE D-MOTION , it should be OK since I have no idea how are you supposed to sing live in an heavily auto tune no. D:

^they lipsynched the D-Motion at MS before. So they'll do it again, I suppose.

Smiling once in a while and laughing at jokes with your band members doesn't hurt your image. It doesn't makes you less cool, imho. But everybody thinks differently. But if you look closely at these clips you see that he doesn't pay attention. If something is really funny I suppose you would laugh anyway, but if you don't listen, you don't laugh. And that's just rude, like I said before.

As if Jin would make it in America, when so many people tried and failed. But if he wants to try he can go ahead.

And sure, he can try america again if he really wants. Lol. Maybe that would be good for him so see that he dont succed everywhere and then he will come back with his tail between his legs again and maybe get that better attitude he had before. ;P

^I have a feeling that these fangirls forgive everything. I'm obviously more a KAT-TUN fan than a Jin Akanishi Fan. So it doesn't really matter to me. I got interested in them when he was in America so I didn't even realize there was a missing factor.

Ueda was the 1st person who caught my attention & he still has a special heart in my heart even though I don't really consider him as boyfriend material haha but I think he's charming in his own unique way heh xD

oh I just realised by tomorrow or so , Love yourself will overtake the 1st week sales of ONE DROP ie. 281,359 which totally is saying something :heart

I hope that can apply for RESCUE (which sold 322,597 copies in the 1st week) which I think that will happen sooner or later

guess for them to release Love yourself in 2 CD + DVD's limited edition , it's helping sales that's for sure

TBH, I just like there music, but I think Nakamaru is the one I look up to because of his good attitude and his way of balancing KAT-TUN and going to University! I always respect him for that plus beatboxing!

D-motion will have to be lip synced because of how impossible it is to sound like that normally! lol, but I still love that song XD

Yeah he is such a sweetheart! I wish he stood out more though. I think he was the last one in the band that I recognized. :P After a while you start to realize what he does for the group.

D-motion grows really. I kind of hated the song at first cuz I love their more rockish songs like RESCUE and LIPS but now I really enjoy D-motion. But I do find Love Yourself as the winner in this single. Great song. ^__^

he is such a sweetie. i adore him. i think he is my 3rd favorite member (either him or Junnosuke, lol) but i pretty much like them all. they're all really unique in their own right.

i don't mind the autotune in D-MOTION as much. i think of it as a stylistic add-on, like what Nakata Yasutaka does for capsule, Perfume, MEG, etc. but i think the lyrics would be clearer without it, of course. :)

It's a great concert! I especially like SADISTIC LOVE. ;) I was looking forward to MOON, since this is one of my favourites from Break the Records, but the performance was so short and imagined a different setting and outfit. But I'm happy that they even performed it.

I think he just lets his moods affect his work and that's unprofessional. But what can you say, the girls love him....so he must be doing something right, right? :)

I think as part of a more hectic schedule in going solo and promoting his solo career as well, he has'nt got as much energy. Although thats also no excuse to be THAT non-talkitive all the time XD. But still there might be a lot of things going on that we don't know as well. I think its better not to judge so much unless he come out and say 'I hate working with KAT-TUN'. But, I still wish he could be more energetic.

the Break the Records performance of "Real Face" is my favorite "Real Face" performance thus far. lol. i think it would've been my favorite one of the DVD if Kame's "1582" epic performance didn't melt my brain. :P

I watched the makings of, it looks so fun to make a PV, especially when your in a group like that, but the filming is soo long >.< lol

i can't stop listening to this single just ordered it 2min ago :spazzed. i really hope they continue to go in this musical direction. but johnny, next time give Junno a song plz his solos are my favorite :yes

Here you come again and lighten up my heart just like before. It is troublesome to like that dude. Sometimes you cant stand his attitude and sometimes he's simply wonderful like in these makings... Uede looked somehow pretty bored, like he couldnt finnish anytime sooner. But he's still a cutie. And Nakamaru is really THE sweetie! He always feels that he have to entertain the camera too. Loves it!

lol yeah that's the thing about Akanishi in that you tend to have a love/hate relationship towards him xD

but I'm sad that he only interacts with T-TUN during both makings & the funny thing's that the same thing applies for Kame too o.o

I liked the MS performance thought the D-MOTION cute was a bit strange XD and also the movements around the stage XDD With the clip of KT first performance in MS we can seehow Akanishi has changed...

I still think it's not a matter of "hey, I wanna be cool and that's why I act like this", more like... he is now more for the artist side rather than the johnny idol image... I think if he could decide he would stop going to shows that aren't for singing... I don't know...

But I was happy too when I saw the making (in LQ T____T) and saw jin joked with the other members.. but I also noticed that Kame and Jin... is like... they don't exist for the other... LOL wonder why...
