YES! I've been refreshing the other threads and thought I should check the NEWS section in case someone posted a new topic!

EDIT: Not really what I was expecting... Sounds kind of... I hate to say this but, boring. Doesn't really have a full "kick" - reminds me of In The Corner meets Love'n'Hate a little bit.

Because it's not an LQ video...? unlike the Microphone CM, this is actually pretty decent quality, I can hear her perfectly.

I swear, I was trying to concentrate on both her and her song. It didn't work out so well. I was going back and forth between "OMG SO PRETTY!!!" and "OMG THIS SONG!!!"

The song sounds EXTREMELY familiar... almost like INSPIRE... In the Corner, maybe? I'm not sure, but I do like the song :)

Sounds like behind the title has the this meaning: Don't look back past but just look for future.

I'm not a big fan of the Arabic sound but... I'll give it a chance. :yes

I hope it's more interesting in full, with a more dramatic sound.

vogue + INSPIRE + In The Corner?

To me, it sounds a lot like In The Corner. But I think the combination that Truehappiness came up with is pretty close.

btw, I listened to it carefully several times, Don't look back sounds like a track after Microphone in her album..

It's not that it sounds like In The Corner, but it has the same sort of vibe about it. Like that hip R&Bish feel, or whatever. Along with INSPIRE/vogue-y beats.

I think it sounds so much like In The Corner. It just has that same vibe. That kind of minimal-ghetto-esqe vibe where she's trying to do something un-Ayu and be fresh but it's the one type of music she can't really pull off and I don't even know why she would want to pull that off because there's no punch and it's quite yawntastic. Lol. I'll take Sparkle, some more heavy rock tracks and some wicked trance tracks please :lech

The song is very...mellow? It doesn't get my heartbeat racing like Microphone did, but it's probably one of those songs that will grow on you one day.

I kinda wish this song was titled "(don't) look back" instead of "Don't look back". lol I'm not sure why, but I always loved "(don't) leave me alone" as a title because of how ~mysterious~ and cool it sounded (imo).

I'm so much more excited to hear this in HQ as opposed to Microphone. If she does make this song into a PV... I better see some DANCING! Dances like from Startin' or INSPIRE would be great :D

now judging the song, i like the tune of it.. i agree that the music sounds a bit of indian/arabic style. ourselves also had that element. but i like this song (so far) because of the tune of the chorus. it's kinda catchy!! :D

Well, the thing with (don't) Leave me alone was that she really felt that she didn't want people to leave her alone even though she was saying "LEAVE ME ALONE!" but... yeah. With this, she's really telling people not to look back, haha.

I would say that not all songs have to have an "oomph" but from this preview, we have no idea if there's actually an oomph to it. Usually the CM songs chosen have something like that in them sooner or later, so maybe it's just not in the chorus?

Pretty much sums up a suggestion for any Ayu fans dwelling on I am... haha.

Nice! I really like the CM and the clip sounds good so far. Much better than Microphone, anyway.

It's not necessarily the "direction" she's going in. She's experimenting and evolving, so there is a possibility that she could make something similar to I am... again in the future. I definitely don't think she's going in any permanent direction with her style of music. Just experimenting and evolving. :)

I really like the song. It does have an INSPIRE/vogue feel to it. Its not arabic, it has more of an oriental asian feel to it, which she has used plenty of times before.

She's not really treading any new ground with it, but it still sounds promising.

It'd actually make a perfect title for the album too imo.

The CM was pretty good but I can't make a proper judgement on the song until I hear the whole thing. It doesn't sound bad which is a good thing though.
