^Yep, it's our favourite GoMi lol!!
And yes, she wrote it. I think oji-i-san translated it as bull****? But since Japanese has only a couple of vulgarities to match to the scores available in English vocabulary, I leave you to insert your own. :D |
As always thanks so much for the translation! :)

Well, GoMI has been known to do that, but always to cheer everyone up and make them laugh during stressful work days. It makes me really appreciate a person with a character like that. |

Firstly, I think it's true that Japanese has few swearwords. Typical ones are くそっ and ちくしょう (ちきしょぉー!), which ayu used here. Both of them can be used in a same situation to damn that situation (or a person or anything you dislike at that moment). And as you can guess from the fact that Japanese has few swearwords, I guess both of them are "weak". Secondly, because ayu made up these lines (Let go!/(damn!, s**t!, or whatever)/I'll be a bad girl!) afterwards just for this blog to make this post funny, I don't know how often ayu uses くそ or ちくしょう in her real life. I didn't think deeply when I translated this line because I felt it's just funny. So, why did I choose bulls**t? The original meaning of ちくしょう is animal, cattle, beast, etc, and くそ is s**t. And I think the usage of ちくしょう and くそ is almost same. Having thought that, I picked up bulls**t because bull is an animal and the word includes s**t as well. haha, that's it but what a long comment! Thanks for the translation as always, Misa-chan. :D:D Let me tell you my suggestions when I have time! |
Thank you Misa :)
I'm sooooo pumped for this PV! |

hamasaki ayumi is her legal name, hamasaki ayumi is her stage name.
濱崎歩 is her legal birth name, since most (if not all) natural born japanese have their full name in kanji. 浜崎あゆみ is her stage name used for herself as an artist, etc. As for the zaki, saki debate.. The last name is actually pronounced hama-SAKI OR hama-ZAKI?, that is according to google translation with 濱崎 as is the same case using 浜崎... where people get hamazaki from? maybe a typo or the same character's used in her name -- which is the case. Also this character 崎 by its self means Qi in japanese (accoriding to google; I have no idea how accurate this even is -- but its entertaining), while this character 浜 means Beach; Seashore in Japanese. This character 歩 means Step;Stride;Pawn in Japanese. now that I think about it.. the correct answer is both are right.. as far as pronounciation goes and spelling go?. also you have to take in to account that there are different dialects, et. Ayu however said in the blog that is was Saki, which might be a prefferance? I don't know.. Hamasaki はまさき --> 浜崎 --> 濱崎 Hamazaki はまざき --> 濱崎 --> 浜崎 Ayumi あゆみ --> 歩み --> 歩 --> 歩美 In Chinese this character 歩 means Walk; which more or less is the same word for Step/Stride. In Chinese this character 浜 means Bang; which could reffer to a loud noise. In Chinese this character 崎 means Mountainous. In Chinese the character 濱 means Bin. So in conclusion Ayu's stage name means.... To Step across the Beach with Energy*? * Qi can be another word for energy... I don't know that that is just my theory on the subject, all of this reffereing to the HamaZaki which appears on the picture with the directors "action" block thing? Also If I am way off, let me know... I am hopin not to be criticized because I don't know japanese nor how any of the rules work, etc.. again this is just a theory.. (and I don't think its off topic) |
^I don't think this issue should be discussed in this thread (the meaning, correct kanji whatever about ayu's name)... but well, the correct kanji, or at least the official for hamasaki is: 浜崎, we don't know how they wrote her name when she was born, but I know only in Chinese they use the kanji 歩 for ayumi, but they say: bin chi bu (pin qi pu, not sure, sth like this, that's why you got Qi for 崎, Qi doesn't exist in japanese, only in chinese, and it's pronunced Chi I think ) Anyway.. the kanji thing is difficult, it can be read in a diferent way depending on which word it is, it's not always the same (kunyomi and onyomi...)... Koda kumi, the kanji for DA 田 in some words is TA but in her name it's pronunced DA, and in other words DEN.
the thing in that pic is not that difficult... the name of the cameraman written on it is english.. there were english staff there, so most probably a english person wrote it and when they said to that person her name he/she probably listened Zaki instead of Saki... that's all... it's only a mistake... |

Oh wow, another Vocaloid fan! |
I think this is my favorite blog from her. Thanks for posting!
|
The Microphone PV looks cool :3
|
she's so hilarious!
damn, i love her :laugh thanks for translating <33 "*Please view the next photo under full lighting conditions and at a good distance away." .... :lmfao |
hello~, here are some of my suggestions.
Please take a look to check if they aren't different from what you meant. :P > I took on the spirit of Yamato Nadeshiko's elegant female ghost. >> I showed elegant Yamato Nadeshiko's spirit of actress. * I just wondered where 女優 (=actress) has gone. > Before this, we also did a scene in a lo~ng corridor filled with mirrors. >> In front of this, we had set up a lo~ng corridor filled with mirrors. > Ruined... >> Tumbled donw... (or Fell down...) > These moments of anger after the ruin leave me broken, but I still smiled-- >> Though it was me (that tumbled down), I couldn't help laughing because I tumbled down so spectacularly. * I didn't get serious impression like ruined or anger. This part reminded me of that ayu slipped down at Saitama arena some years ago :lech > BISH. (Hoho, I've decided...) >> BISHI. (Hoho, I've done perfectly...) > This scene was then dubbed over >> I'm dubbing this scene (with comical lines) as I please (after "Please view the next photo...") >> ready? then, let's go. OK, thanks again for your good jobs as always~~ |
wow... what a blog post that was ! :D
thanks for translating! ^^ |
this is probably the best blog post i've seen from her yet. and i'm really hopeful about her new direction, musically and PV-wise. the PVs for ballad and you were... were surprising and refreshing (for me!) and so far microphone seems to be following a similar path.
i'm not sure what happened to give ayu her spark back but, *******, i hope it stays! |

*hides with you* I agree!

I guess the swearing wasn't a big deal then? Didn't she sort of swear in Days PV making? Hahaha.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i.../shunazisu.jpg :innocent |
^really what'd she say? :P
|
^ A thread regarding all instances of Ayu behaving 'adult' should be made, so those of us who enjoy knowing that Ayu's just as vulgar as we are will feel empowered. (I don't know if she did curse in Days making or not.)
And I love this entry. I love the tart 'It's 'saki', you know.' I love seeing her so fired up. <3 |

IMO, this looks like the scene that'll follow the words "a na ta dakara ~pipe organs~" or something, haha.

Oh goodness, she actually told us stuff straight up! And I'm excited that there's a story-line PV; those are my favorite.

I also though that she meant taht fell down, for that pic, she seems like going down XDD poor ayu with that big dress may be difficult to walk xDDD

I love her new spark. Mm, kick-ass Ayu. I've wanted a kick-ass album for quite a while now. I think NEXT LEVEL was close (and really damn good as well) but I wasn't all that into that electro/futuredisco/lotsofbrightcolors vibe back then. Me wants rock Ayu, now! |
Damn, that PV looks even more awesome now. lol at her comments.
thnx~ |

This entry is sooooo funny! It's good to see, that Ayu doesn't seem to be in a bad/depressed mood anymore. I'm always worried, when she is like that! ;.;
I LOVE the screencaps from the PV shooting and Ayu's comments made me laugh so hard. She is a sweetie. And the Gals look very cute! ^.~ Thanks again for the translation!! <3 |
