April 14th (Wed) NEW ALBUM [Rock'n'Roll Circus] Release!

Release date confirmed for 11th official album!
Including big hit double-A-side singles [Sunrise/Sunset~LOVE is ALL~] [You were.../BALLAD], and recordings done in London for the first time, the new album features 10 new tracks (planned).
The DVD will feature more than half the number of songs in the album, with 8 music clips! Moreover, all making-of clips will be included. Digests for the DVD [ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2009 A ~NEXT LEVEL~], which will be released on the same day, will be included as a bonus as well!

April 14th (Wed) LIVE DVD [ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2009 ～NEXT LEVEL～] Release!

Spanning about 7 months in 2009, from April to October, with 35 shows in 12 cities around the country, produced by 300,000 staff, the much anticipated DVD for the Arena Tour Live is here! The entire show done on the very last day at Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo has been recorded!
With songs from the [NEXT LEVEL] album, mixed with popular songs from the past and present, and 10 costume changes, an entertaining and colourful show never before seen.
All emcee sessions, bigscreen movies, and videos of special moments will be included (planned)!!

Some other facts to point out:
- photobook is 36 pages
- photobook will come with the CD+DVD version in the limited box
- 10 new tracks and 14 total tracks are subject to change
- It is unsure whether or not the LIMITED BOX will have different cases for everything contained within or not...
- CD only has no first press at the moment, but we have yet to find out more.
- The amount of interludes is not known yet, but people still seem to be saying that there will be 4 with no reasoning other than what has been done for NEXT LEVEL and GUILTY... at the moment though, no one knows anything.
- Sexy little things will be on the album, it just has not been listed in the tracklist since the songs that have currently airing CMs (Microphone, Don't look back) are the only tracks that Japan knows of right now. We know of it from ViVi, but that's about it... there's no reason for it to be listed in the tracklist at the moment.

I'm not worried about them at all.. I'm a big fan of ND CHOW's work with ayu. I'd be surprised if they were bad.

and answering a post in the last thread, someone quoted me and said that the album is a whole, with title and cover... yeah, I agree and I know the title and the covers are important, it's the first people see, and what may attract casual listeners to buy the album or not.

And I respect people not liking the title, not everyone has to like it, of course! it's just that people make a big deal of the name, and for some just to know that this was the name made them be less excited for the album... why?? Even if the title and the cover are important, the MUSIC is the first priority for me. If I like the covers and the title too? GREAT! perfect!, but if not, I don't care. I wouldn't buy the poster, for example xD

well, that's all I'm gonna say about the damn title XDD

This cover is going to be epic. No soft, minimalist piece this time. This is going to be a sharp, edgy avant-garde piece of awesome. Or so I hope.

I think after seeing the cute off-shot pictures from London that the covers will be nice! Especially if it's a different photographer... Also the photobook will be nice as it has a theme to it...

Don't set your expectations too high, haha.

I somehow feel as though we'll be getting a few "...these are not what I expected..." comments when they do come out. Though You were.../BALLAD was a HUGE surprise for most people.

Oh yeah, I realized what would've been worse titles:
LOVE is ALL, Sunrises/Sunsets, BALLADS, They Were..., For TeamAyu, and others. (Variations of single titles would've probably p/o'd waaaaay more people off.)

I am LOVING how large the DVD tracklist got, haha.

17 tracks on the DVD, and 1X tracks on the CD is how it's looking right now imo.

There are 14 tracks lol.. but it could be changed to more, and if it isn't then I think we'll only get like.. 1 or 2 interludes because she has been recording so much..

Somehow that always seems to happen when "title to be decided" is a title for artists...

I wonder if one day an artist will actually use that as a title. Probably not. (It happens not just with Ayu but everyone.) IMO, it makes no sense since there are TWO original tracks with those titles.

Yeah, but for people who don't know that and still think Sexy little things isn't going to be on the album, they'll be like "Why are two of the same song title there?!", haha.

i'm not really a fan of the packaging for the limited box, but whatever. the way its all clear. idk. :/ oh well, its not like I'm buying/affording it.

That is NOT how it'll look. There will be a lid on it, and there will be a cover printed on top of it. That is just a mock-up of how the items will be laid out in the box.

I'm still debating if I should pre-order the first press CD/DVD right now or hold out for more info on more of the boxed set since I'm hoping more will be available... :-P

I think once the tracklist comes out, and hearing the songs and seeing the visuals, if everything comes together nicely it'll be SIIIICK

i remember GUILTY as a title was me so pumped, but the singles songs glitter and fated being on it made me soooo mad. but then in the end, it all came as a nice little package and glitter became the much appreciated only upbeat song on it LOL

It should count towards both AT09 and Rock'n'Roll Circus' charts.

All the boxset is is a bundle of both products.

Yes Sexy little things IS gonna be one of the album tracks. It wasn't mentioned in the official site cos it only listed the songs that were singles or had certain tie-ins.

Anyway, I find it kinda hilarious that the DVD has more tracks than the CD... hopefully the tracks increase a little towards the end~

I guess you can't get angry at the fans who weren't lurking around AHS 24/7 waiting for the announcement. Lol.

But then again, you can pretty much find all the answers to most these questions with very little effort.

Not talking about you specifically, but the dozen or so people who asked about similar things before. It's just weird since everything -is- in the first post. It's not like someone just put the first post there with no information at all, you know?

People are trying to keep the information in one place [first post] and it's as though that work is basically unacknowledged when someone just glances at it and asks "Is there a photobook in the limited box set?" or "Where did Sexy little things go?"...

awesome post sweetie. I agree, nobody needs to love the title, they're in their right... however, i've seen often that is usually the same people complaining :rolleyes they don't like her pics, or her style, or the album titles... it's really annoying .

Haha. I was following the forum when she released NEXT LEVEL, and let me tell you, I could hardly get on, and then, I saw all the comments about it. It was...pretty nasty. :D

The speed all this is selling out must be some good sign lol

This usually happens with limited edition preorders anyway, because the record label gives them an approximate amount of how many they're going to print, give to a single online store, so they can only take that amount of orders. Then release time comes around, they get more than pre-ordered. THATS the best time to snap them up if you've missed out.

I want my box but it's still out of sotck, so sad !

Well, I don't think they're letting that many people purchase since they're only making 25,000 of the boxes, haha. (The selling out really is because there's so few available online, I guess...)
