浜崎恒例の年末ライブが今年も30日、31日代々木で開催される。

ayumi hamasaki BEST of COUNTDOWN LIVE 2006-2007 A

Apparently, Yoyogi will be undergoing construction after the CDL takes place, so the facilities will be unusable for next year's CDL as well as during the tour :< [something about asbestos etc etc]~

If anyone can translate and confirm this a bit more, please do so D:

She's not retiring. After all, this was on Max's blog. :P I think people can calm down now. :yes

~X2RADialbomber~ 29th December 2006 01:12 AM

Of course she's not retiring. She's the second highest selling female artist! :o

DerrickRocks 29th December 2006 01:40 AM

yep second!!! so why retire

edgefusion 29th December 2006 01:42 AM

Because she's not first? jk. Who is first?

Well she's not been first in... well, ever. MAYBE in 2001 or 2002 if you want to go by singles, but never overall first-place for a year.

Now, she's consistently been number two - which makes you number one overall when the highest-seller changes every year.

But on topic, no yoyogi??? Well no wonder it wasn't on the list of her performance venues for the 07 tour. Something about it won't be the same, though, will it?

edgefusion 29th December 2006 01:51 AM

I miss Yoyogi Bear already. :(

truehappiness 29th December 2006 02:11 AM

Technically Ayu's no.1 in sales for in the category of solo artists and solo female artists~ ;D

[behind Mr. Children and B'z.. I think she's surpassed Southern All Stars already]

I mean, come on. No.2 for 2006 and stuff, but not counting all years before..

evolution7931 29th December 2006 02:22 AM

Meh.. I don't mind. Change is good! I prefer the look of Yokohama Arena anyway. The way the seating is set up makes it better for a concert imo (because of the way the audience is layed out). Or maybe we'll get a CDL filming from the Saitama Super Arena. It holds more people (and apparently has a neat layout).. :)

The Japanese Wikipedia entry for the Yoyogi National Gym says:
Quote:

"However, it is understood that asbestos was included in the material for construction, and will execute complete asbestos removal construction in August, 2006. The possibility to be able to do nothing but change the hall is high ..each close of the first gym eight months from January, the second gym and 2007 and schedules of work in March, 2007 first of all from August, 2006.. ..the main event between these... "

So it looks like they started it a few months ago..
Perhaps Ayu will add some tour dates for Yoyogi when they end up finishing the removal? :<

Well she was 1st in 2003 and probably 2004 as well. 2000, 2001 and 2002 are probably all very close.

I thought I saw somewhere too that she was the highest seller in 2001 overall.. It was in the NTV Special Interview 2004 and it showed an overall chart.. Utada Hikaru was #2

Wow!!
So there IS a little chance that she performs on Domes for the Asia Tour like a rumor said, neh??

So irrealist, but if we think about it...
If Ayu comes to perform on Tokyo during the Asia Tour, and the Yoyogi is on construction, so she might choose between :

- Tokyo Dome
- Saitama Super Arena

Isn't Asia Tour supposed to be a big event ? Plus de A BEST II Promotion *__*
Saitama Super Arena is an awesome and HUGE Arena [Saw the Hikki's UTADA UNITED 2006, just WOW!!]

Thanks a lot for these informations :33

ayu_fan929 29th December 2006 03:05 AM

I don't think she'll go to Tokyo Dome. Saitama Super Arena and Yokohama Arena are most likely going to be the substitutes or maybe even Budokan?

Raiu-Ayu 29th December 2006 03:07 AM

Ayu played at Saitama Super Arena during the MY STORY tour (I remember cuz thats where she fell XD!) so she might hold it there :D

I did some rough calculations

1999 - Hikki
2000 - Ayu
2001 - Ayu
2002 - Hikki
2003 - Ayu
2004 - Hikki
2005 - Ayu
2006 - Kuu

truehappiness 29th December 2006 03:41 AM

Saitama is a stop she usually goes to..

The last date that we have for the Japan stop of the tour is like, Fukuoka though.

I bet she'll add some dates.. :O

ayu_fan929 29th December 2006 03:44 AM

She probably will. When was the last time her tour didn't end in the Tokyo Area?

EDIT:
2000 Part 1 - Yokohama Arena
2000 Part 2 - Yokohama Arena
Dome Tour 2001 - Tokyo Dome
Arena Tour 2002 - Yokohama Arena
Stadium Tour 2002 - Tokyo Stadium
TeamAyu 2003 - Zepp Tokyo
A MUSEUM 2003 - Yokohama Arena
Arena Tour 2004 - Tokyo Yoyogi
Arena Tour 2005 - Tokyo Yoyogi
Arena Tour 2006 - Tokyo Yoyogi

They've ALL been either Yokohama or Tokyo.

truehappiness 29th December 2006 03:50 AM
