was that a bootleg?

Tom Punks 9th March 2009 03:07 AM

Yes, it was. :/

brand new love 9th March 2009 03:10 AM

uh, do you mean the back of the case has it as 1love? if so, yeah, it's a bootleg.

Kingdom 9th March 2009 03:14 AM

if you mean it was "1love" when you ripped it from the cd, no.

Polyrhythm 9th March 2009 03:40 AM

There is no album called 1love. LAWL...not by ayu anyway....

chloeM 9th March 2009 03:45 AM

man... i got cheated as well, i bought it like, double the original price... well, i can't rip the songs out of the album right? copy rights reserved

LacusClyne 9th March 2009 03:57 AM

you can rip them to your computer, i always buy the japan version and rip them out.

dreamland2.0 9th March 2009 04:00 AM

^ yes I don't think there was a copy right protection on Secret...
But if you use itunes then it doesn't matter because it rips anything :)

majrakun 9th March 2009 04:08 AM

Since they already have 1love, I suppose they'll have some 'cool' misspellings. :lech

"LABRAYINTH"
"Secrete"
"kiss or' kill"
"momantem"

LOL. Omg I hope it's not gonna be like that~ :dead2

lfe. 9th March 2009 05:47 AM

Where'd you buy it?

That's good! :D

I guess most stores wouldn't give cash back if they just sold a bootleg :laugh

congrats! To help you in your quest of finding real, original albums, keep this in mind:

- the side of the case always has the AVEX logo on it, and some sort of serial code starting with the letter A for the Japanese version (I'm not at home right now so I can't check for the entire code).
- the printing quality is always very high.
- the tracklist has no spelling errors (a few exceptions apply, like Mirrorcle World, Greatful Days)

Also, it might be a good idea to check Ayumi's official website to see how the songs are oficially spelt :) so you won't be fooled by "1love" again. goodluck!

[Also, my own RAINBOW bootleg (:weep) actually has a logo of the bootlegging company on it, except for the Avex logo. beware of such obvious signs! I bought it online :*(]

Keiichi JPU, thanks for the tips, it might help me a lot...
yeah, it's lucky that they could give my money back...
well, this taught you a lesson right?
don't go ebay

sora-kara 18th March 2009 03:51 AM

if you need some tricks and tips in recognizing bootlegs, there's a really good guide here:
http://eneabba.net/ayu/music/bootlegs/index.htm
it lists all sorts of bootlegs, and it just gives you an idea of what to look for so you wont have to worry about that sort of thing again. :)

thats a lie. it doesnt.
it wont rip one of my favourite cds no matter what i do! ;____;

kendelle 18th March 2009 04:07 AM

^^ Can you rip it in Windows Media Player and then link the files to iTunes?

My folder's gotten really messy so this week I've been deleting and restoring all my music files to the correct artists and getting proper cover images - it's very time consuming but worth it at the end (I hope!)

chloeM 18th March 2009 12:52 PM

well, i tried that... i can't seem to do a thing about it... it came out like a player especially for ayu's albums

nope.
itll only rip through the cds own software.
and once its on my computer, itunes says it cant be converted to the filetype itunes needs. :/

Justex 18th March 2009 11:16 PM

sora-kara, do you have a cd-rom or a dvd-rom drive? Because copy-protected CDs normally cannot be ripped with old cd-rom drives and even with newer dvd-rom drives it usually takes a lot longer (at least that's my experience). :)
