Oh can be replaced chapter 2 to the first one?
|
Yes it is confirmed. She announced it at her last concert in Osaka, which I was there.
|
^ Thanks!
Maybe Ayu is going to release chapter 2 with the new album or in another moment. Iirc, 2nd chapter was the only one with a title (sacrifice). |
Damn I would love to see CHAPTER 2.5
Maybe they are gearing for a SACRIFICE standalone with both CHAPTER 2 and 2.5 |

No released date announced?
|
^ they’re released with the album, at the moment they’re not separate entities.
|
I extracted the link to youtube of the footage from Ayu's website, no sound but still sth interesting:
|
Were ayu sick? She seems out of breath at the clips that I saw. Especially at Shake it
I am... + Moments Shake it FLOWER ourselves |
|
Ayu coming for Kuu's brand in shake it lol
|
I could foresee that we won't get any release of Chapter 2 in the near future. Last time she sang altena in AT10 and it was finally replaced by Last angel in RnRC Tour FINAL 7days Special. We still haven't gotten any official footage of AT10's alterna. And I saw some photos of the venue for the final show of Chapter 2 in Yamaguchi, unlike Chapter 3
final in Okinawa, it seems that no extra cameras were set for DVD / BD recording. Maybe ayu really don't wanna let those who haven't attended her concert to see the live performance of alterna. :P |

I'm sorry but the digest sounds...not awful..but I guess I won't enjoy it much. Her voice is not instable but it just sounds off at many places. I hope all of you have fun watching tho.

Ayu’s voice can definitely sometimes sound a bit off, but a lot of times her over reactions tend to ruin her vocals.

I love that she took fans on stage, lucky!! I would pass out probably

I had tears in my eyes seeing the fans crying haha

Lucky fans :D

I'd faint for sure if she'd take me on stage!

Chapter 2 has been recorded because in Chapter 3 there are snippets from Sacrifice.

Maybe the next release will be titled as “Sacrifice” and comes with Chapter 2 DVD!

Chapter 2 bad quality and funny pics lol
Spoiler:
I really need chapter 3 to be uploaded :( |
^ Heck, I'll take chapter 1 getting uploaded at this point. It really makes me think that not many people have bought it. I don't think it's ever taken this long for an official release to be posted.

Chapter 1 Blu ray is up on Jpopsuki!
|
Woo hoo!
|
Yay, thanks!

It may take a long time because blu-ray files are very large and upload speeds are so slow.:no
I watched Chapter 3 through bilibil and I thought it was great. Lots of energy and everyone looked like they had a lot of fun. I am... and A Song for xx were impressive. I felt so happy for Ayu during these performances. |
I'm at the encore of the Chapter 3 right now. Damn Ayu, this has to be one of my favorite of your concerts!
|
I've watched Chapter 3 and I'm really impressed. It's a very simple show, but stage lighting was superb. Perhaps it's her most theatrical show in terms of creating a whole atmosphere with just a few resources - "Tour of Secret" being the last one of this kind.
I know, she sounds hoarse and her voice are damaged and etc., but she really delivers the stage presence with special glow. A Song for xx, the whole cute session and the last act of the main show are the highlights for me. Oh, and I was very moved by Love song + SEVEN DAYS WAR combo. |
The Blu-Ray ISO for both concerts is up on Baidu since yesterday morning:

Whoever is uploading that 7GB version of chapter 1 on JPS must have the slowest connection ever lol. I'm only 10MB in and it's been 6 hours hahaha I wish my PC had a BR player or I'd try and do it myself! Hopefully the 3rd chapter comes up soon, I haven't had chance to watch my copies...
|
To download so big files I need to login in download application. I have an account and can login on site, but not at this app. Why? :(
nevermind. it's up at jps |

Yeah, despite the hoarseness, chapter 3 is really, really good.
|
Her best since rock and circus 7 days. Timmy had me rolling, dancers weren’t in the way and ayu was the focus. Couldn’t have asked for more.
Edit: Chapter 3 |
Just finished watching Chapter 1, and I thought it was so good! Some of the parts at the beginning seemed almost theatrical, especially NEVER EVER, and I liked it because it felt like I was watching a musical or something. She had really good energy here and sounded good too. I only wish she had sung rainy day, since the stage during appears would have been perfect for it lol And from what I've seen of Chapter 3 from the high quality upload (I still need to finish it), it looks really good too, even though her voice isn't at its best. I am.. through A Song for xx is amazing.

Does anyone else have problems with the ISO's from Jpopsuki? I downloaded the rips from this forum, but chapter three isn't exactly great quality >__> I'm soooo looking forward to watching it, the preview was great, but would love to find a better rip
|
Chapter 3 is seriously amazing. I had watched parts of it before, but finally saw the whole thing tonight. One of her best concerts; not just recently, but ever. And I agree, a song for xx is probably the best one (it's right up there with her Dome Tour 01 performance), but really all of the songs were great. It's a quite over the top concert (putting it mildly, haha), but it actually works. I was actually watching this with my mom and she said, "Something must have happened to Ayu right before the concert started", haha.
Hopefully, some lapsed Ayu fans will somehow see this show. |
Watched both as well.
And I prefer chapter 1. Her voice is partly pretty bad there, but her energy is amazing! It's pretty rare to get energy like that from her! And the setlist was flowing better as well than in chapter 3. The cute part in chapter 3 is horrendous and she takes the cute voice even over in some other parts after that as well. Last minute is so overdramatic it's even worse here than in CdM. Plus her voice in the chorus of flower is pretty painful to listen to - she did better the last time she performed it. And even though I usually don't mind Timmy he is pretty annoying there. I do prefer ourselves in chapter 3 compared to chapter 1 though. |

edit: And i just realised that the "lucky fan" who got invited up to stage during Shake it was Koki Kameda the boxer. So it's not any random fan? |

Chapter 3 is amazing, I love SEVEN DAYS WAR, it was so touching.
|
I really prefer chapter 3 to the chapter 1.
FLOWER and ourselves in chapter 3 kill me |
I thought that the male fan was quite poor thing hahaha >_< he looked very shocked and awkward.
Really loved the ourselves performance in Chapter 3. I liked the chapter 1 version but chap 3 is just so levelled up. The short “rewind” part towards the ending of the song was really cool. And Timmy spoke abit more Japanese this time? A bit annoying for the “sexy boys... sexy girl” thing. |
Finally had a chance to watch my copy of chapter 3 and listen to jacket B cd. They actually didn't tamper too much with her vocals on this one. That was pretty much exactly how Ayu sounded on the day except a few note fixes and the hoarseness, and vocal flaws are much more apparent on the DVD. Ayu did sound better on the 19th, but she sounded really good overall considering her ear problems and that it was the last of a very long tour. While the cute section was kind of interesting to see in person, I actually cringed seeing it on the DVD. It just doesn't work for me, and I actually like both songs. In my opinion Timmy was very annoying. There was one part where he made me laugh but other than that I Found him annoying. I love the set list of chapter 3 and it's one of my favorites of her shows despite Timmy and the awful cute section. In terms of the cd, I like the reversed track list much better and the songs are starting to grow on me, though W still falls kind of flat, which is a bit disappointing since Rock Ayu is my favorite Ayu (I am, moments, A Song for xx, memorial address, Last Minute, FLOWER, Love song and SEVEN DAYS WAR were the highlights of Chapter 3 for me since they were on my bucket list to see live in person)
|
I finally watched Chapter 3, and omg. Definitely one of her best concerts to this date (though nothing beats M(A)DE IN JAPAN). Aaaaand it's definite - if I'm ever going to see her, WATERPROOF MASCARA! This one was a serious tearjerker :( Soooo so beautiful. And a perfect selection of songs.
However, I'm starting to get the feeling that ayu has a serious sex addiction lol. She's just like a sex addict... it has to get more and more crazy. I won't say that I'm against it, that's totally up to her, it's just... weird... *yes, I'm looking at you, Shake It <3 performance, and TIMMY!* |

Seems like they didn't over-edit her vocals this time which is a relief. I'd rather have flawed but correct vocals over perfect-robotic-emotionless ones.
I wasn't interesting in watching those lives at all but the reactions here make me want to give it a try! |

I blame Timmy and Leslie Kee mostly. Ever since she got super close to those two earlier in this decade things started to change. That's how we got the Party Queen aesthetic basically.:laugh
|
Ayu always had a somewhat sexual image. And IMO it always felt more like her liking sex than using it as a theme to look edgy.

I know Leslie had been working with her for many years prior but it was around this time he started making those Super photobooks, Super Ayu, Super Manny etc. I don't think it's a coincidence that the Party Queen photoshoot and PVs came about when both Timmy and Leslie were working closely with Ayu. But yes, it is ultimately her creative decisions.
I do also agree that Ayu always gave us a glimpse into her sexual part of her. But back then I felt it was depicted differently than now.:think |

Talking about Ayu's sexy side just makes me think of STEP you, where one of the versions of her was the sexy one lol. Since then, and before with my name's WOMEN which was mentioned, she's had more sexy videos and performances (Lady Dynamite, Sparkle, etc.). But I wouldn't worry about her being a sex addict or anything for enjoying sex. She's a grown woman who seems to be more and more comfortable with sharing that side of her in her music. And she's not the only female J-pop singer that has had sexual videos/songs. I get it's not everyone's cup of tea (I personally prefer her more subtle sexy stuff for instance) but I wouldn't blame Timmy, Leslie, or anyone else for her decisions.

I watched Ch1, Ch3, and namie's Final Tour on DVD, and I can't help but begin to notice what different kinds of performers they are.
Granted that ayu's concerts nowadays have much lower production value and that her vocal quality has been unstable, somehow her performance conveys much much more emotion and, to some extent, energy, which really reach the audience even via DVD. Idk, maybe it's her movement, or her expressions and voices (these can be overkill such as in Last Minute), she really has a unique and extremely powerful way of connecting to the audience. It's a fascinating paradox - on one hand, she's an actress performing a story line; on the other, she's a real person whose emotions are more genuine than anyone. man, talking about individual performances: appears in Ch1 was just beautiful in every way (arrangement, stage, costume, dance, singing). ASFXX in Ch3 = <3 for reasons I wont repeat. And the two ourselves at the beginning and at the end - that's some well thought-out and fantastically delivered concepts there. I was reluctant to watch ayu's recent concerts because they don't look appealing on paper. I didnt want to watch them also because they can be easily overshadowed by other artists' more expensive, dance-intensive and well-advertised shows, but I'm glad I gave these two a try - her unique way of performing just cannot be captured in still images or 1-minute digest! |

As a side note, every time I remember the original Party Queen shoot I wish she hadn't scrapped it, or at least had released an alternate version using it. It was so well done. |

It's the shoot they used for how beautiful you are and then shown in 'full' in SUPER Ayu sold at the tour. It seems to embody the "Party Queen" aesthetic but it appeared she scrapped the concept when she wanted to do the one we ended up with.
http://www.ahsforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=112605 They originally planned a photobook too for the same day as Party Queen's release but the entire thing got scrapped until it resurfaced as SUPER Ayu. |
^Wow, I had no idea! "how beautiful you are" has one of my favorite covers so I always felt it was a shame it was used simply for a digital single. Such potential.
|
It's funny cause I think a lot of people might give ayu more creative credit than she actually deserves. Sure she is talented, but those early years where everything was super polished and iconic probably wasn't her doing at all. Either that, or her team nowadays doesn't know how to execute her ideas properly anymore.
The Party Queen concept switcheroo, as well as the LOVE + again thing were her ideas, or at least I feel so, and they kind of fell flat. Perhaps not entirely terrible ideas, but they have the feeling of not being carried out in a solid and professional manner, which in turn feels unpolished and amateur. |

1LOVE pole dance, the prostitute in the PV.
Because of You. Sexy Little Things (bisexuality in the video of the arena tour) until that day... orgy in the performance. Never Ever from Best CDL. GAME and My Name's Women performance from AT2015. Decision from AT2008. Wake me up performance. Step You from AT2006. Connected CDL01-02 Naturally Arena Tour 2002. She has been expressing her sexuality and being sexy in her career for a long of time, that's not the only meaning she wanted to convey with these performances though. Moreover, I always felt that Ayu is very sexy when she is singing rock. About You from AT2010 is pure sexyness with her gaze, in a sense that she's atractive to me not that she is trying to be/look sexy. |

This is literally me. I didn't understand a few choices they made there, but everything else was great. I haven't watched any of her concerts in ages, and after watching these two and a-nation, i kind of forgot how much power and prescience on stage she's got. She is a performer for sure. And just once again made me think of GACKT from back in the day. So far she's the only one i haven't given up on yet. And hopefully i won't need to anytime soon. Also somehow watching the two concerts made me appreciate the whole gang more, it's not an Ayu concert without them lol And i loved the fact that they got fans on stage, i really thought that dude will be a bit uncomfortable but he was surprisingly fine xD Someone pointed out she's way too dramatic in some songs, i actually like when she goes mad on stage. I like that explosion. P.S. I am always amused by how she's covered in more and more glitter in every concert lol |
Wow I just watched Chapter 1 and I have to say I enjoyed the TROUBLE version more than the WOWOW version. Not the best Ayu concert by any means by still rather enjoyable. I'm not really a fan of her trying to be a hype girl for her dancers/band/the audience though. She hasn't been really great at doing that in recent times and she's just doing it so much more often in this concert ahahaha. At least it wasn't as bad as during the CDL I guess.
|
I just watched Chapter 1 last night. I would the concert's energy was VERY HIGH and there was just so much jumping and pumping fists kinda atmosphere going on. I do love the stage design. Always loved a stage that was more than just an extended runway.
But I couldn't get over how a lot of it was very conceptless. I didnt get what the concert was going for. It had Moulin Rouge moments and then that Military moment but Fly High came out half cute half badass which was such a pity. I mean, the only thing I did observe was this "ONSTAGE PERFORMER - BACKSTAGE DRAMA, MELANCHOLY" idea. Was she trying to say something to the audience? I felt like the lightning was VERY one note. It was purplish/pink and bright. The only wow part was the fullblown red scene in WARNING's opening. Back in the day, we probably got more lasers and pyros idk. It felt disjointed to me but Ayu was the one that was sustaining the whole energy and vibe. Sometimes I just felt like she let those acrobatics do too much. In this concert alone, they had so many flip around moments during her non-singing parts. Every song could potentially go in that direction. |
