Your screen resolution & net speed
 

Hello initiates, I'd like u to vote on this poll, and using the results we can decide on a recommended signature size that fits best for everyone.

Its a mutiple choice poll but please vote one for your screen resolution and one for your net speed.

I also want to ask - do the threads here load quick for u? How about when compared to other forums?

voted... but as I've said b4, as long as the filesize of the sigs is small, things should be ok, even for 56k users... and whomever still uses anything lower than 800x600 (even that's not too big either...lol) should see about getting that increased :P

the threads here do not load fast for me. sometimes i find myself waiting at least 5 mins. for a someone peoples' sigs to load.

perhaps it's cuz of my DSL, but I've never had problems loading sigs, even when my DSL was utter garbage...lol... as I've said, it just depends on the filesize of the image, so think of it like this:

56k = 5-7kb/sec, so a 50kb sig (which I commonly use) should load, at most, in 10 seconds, regardless of the actual pixel size.

Well, I use 800x600 and have a 56k modem. Sometimes the threads take a while to load because there are a lot of signatures and avatars to load. And sometimes when there are picture attachments that takes a little while longer also. Hope this helps.

I admit, I voted twice in screen size because I use this forum from both of my computers. My laptop is a crystal clear 1024x768, and my desktop is 1152x864. The RAINBOW style for the forum kinda breaks apart a little on my desktop. And I"m here with a cable modem ^_^

I used to use 1280x1024 (maybe sometime also) but normaly I use 1600x1280 ^^ and I have 3 Mbps Cable Modem... Changing to 3 Mbps DSL soon I think...

Site is great for me, but I would get frustrated if I was on 56k. Some sigs and avatars are just a bit oversized and would take a long time to download on 56k.

I have a 1024-768 screen resolution and 56k dialup -_-;.

This forum loads pretty slowly for me, so in my options, I've turned off the avatars and the huge sigs. I find the avatars HUGE, compared to the other forums I've been on.

When I use my brother's computer, which has an 800x600 monitor and uses a slow DSL connection it does take awhile for things to load.

same here.... i was messing with the resolution thing and soon i just kept going higher..and higher...and higher... and then i coudl only get to 1280x1024 i want a higher one though..just to see how that feels.... :D

Mine's somewhere around 1400x ... something. It's a big laptop. My dad bought it for me. ^_^

and thats on rapidshare....dont get me started with sendspace...well i type it anywayz....cuz im bored...
