Album size question
The first albums of Ayu I bought since Love songs were sixxxxxx and M(A)DE IN JAPAN, the Blu-ray version for both, and I was surprised to see that they're both the size of a normal CD not the usual wider version. I won't complain, though, because it takes up less space. ^^a
So my question is, when did these releases start? I looked online for scans and watched some unboxing videos, but it's pretty vague. I know that the obi for LOVE again is wide, so I guess the earliest would be Colours? Thanks in advance. ^^ |
I’m not sure about CoLOURS coz I got the CD only version, but from sixxxxxx onwards releases (I got Blu-ray version - Japan version) are slim case.
LOVE again is wide case. |
So A ONE is wide, too?
|
A ONE is slim too (mine is Blu-ray version - Japan version)
Made in Japan also slim (TA Blu-ray version) |
Thank you. ^^
I just found some pictures of A ONE, too, funnily enough. ^^; |
Colours was slim as well
|
So it started with Colours after all?
Thank you very much. ^^ |
Memorial address has wide and slim version for cd/dvd. I don't know why.
|
That's what I've got by myself
LOVE and again (CD+DVD): normal case, but a little bit thicker LOVE again (Limited Editions): wide cases Colours (CD and both TA Versions): normal case (TA Versions without OBI) sixxxxxx (CD+DVD): normal case M(A)DE IN JAPAN (TA Version DVD): wide case |
^^ I got the wide version of Memorial Address.

Could MA's wide and slim vers be related to reprints? Mine is also wide but it's a 2nd hand version so I don't know exactly when it was bought. My first thought was cost saving since I assume slim cases are cheaper but they would have had to pay for redesigns of the obi & spine so I wonder if it actually was financially beneficial overall?
|
I thought the CD+DVD version of Memorial Address was always in a thick double case?
|
I bought mine copy of MA when released (CD+DVD, wide case), in early 2004.
