NEW ALBUM NORMAN F***ING ROCKWELL ANNOUNCED IN AUGUST 2019

  • A B O U T
Spoiler:
Elizabeth Woolridge Grant (born June 21, 1985), known professionally as Lana Del Rey, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, poet and music video director. Her music has been noted by critics for its stylized cinematic quality, its preoccupation with themes of tragic romance, glamour, and melancholia, and its references to pop culture, particularly 1950s and 1960s Americana. After the viral success of her single "Video Games" in 2011, she then signed with Interscope and Polydor later that year. Her major label debut Born to Die (2012) proved an international success and spawned her first top-ten single on the Billboard Hot 100 with the Cedric Gervais remix of "Summertime Sadness". Since, Del Rey has released the US Billboard 200 number-one albums Ultraviolence (2014) and Lust for Life (2017), along with top-ten releases Paradise (2012) and Honeymoon (2015). She has received nominations for the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album for both Paradise and Lust for Life.

Dubbed by the media as the "Queen of Indie Pop", Del Rey has sold over 15 million albums worldwide as of 2018.

New music 2019

Norman F***ing Rockwell Update - 2019

Lana Del Rey announched that her new album is finished. She has an album cover already, but her manager is having second thoughts about it, so she is doing a reshoot very soon for the cover.

She has been teasing her fans a lot on social media, also with new content. She posts and later on deletes on instagram, a video of her driving in a car, singing along to lyrics of a new song. Some people think it's the verses of the song Happiness is a Butterfly but she hasn't confirmed that yet. For now, people call it In Your Car

Also, Lana announced on social media that she would release a new song on January 9th.
It's called Hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have, but I have it. The song that was played in the clip, was recognized as a snippet from Sylvia Plath. It's not clear if she changed the title, or is hinting to another song. She is writing on her poetry book in the clip.

January 9th: New single 'hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have, but I have it'

hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have, but I have it is out.
(Sylvia Plath was its working title. So we know for sure the title of this song now)

Spoiler:

There was some controversy going on around the lines in the second verse. She is referring to a 'black narcissist off my back' - and some people online assumed it was about the Azalea Banks feud.

But it is not. She is talking about a much darker, bad personality trait of herself.

Everything is so boring at the moment. I thought the album was going to be released in early 2019, and suspected to be in March but it turns out it was all a damn rumour.

Lana's manager said that he couldn't give any details about the actual release date of Norman F*ing Rockwell. Probably, because no date has been set, yet. So, it turns out we still need to be patient for... I don't know how long. Thought the album was done...

Anyway Lana Del Rey announced her poetry book is done and is ready for publishing. She asked online that if stores were interested in selling her books, they need to contact. Guess, that will happen soon.

xLuna&1LOVE 28th May 2019 10:25 PM

Lana's covered Doin' Time, originally sung by Sublime.
It's for their documentairy and won't be included on NFR.

Hopefully, somebody is still interested haha... can't blame that it is kinda boring and lame to wait for whatever.

Lana Del Rey poses for three different covers for Vogue Italia, shot by Steven Klein:

In the caption, the songstress shared a snippet of her poem Never to Heaven.

‘May my eyes always stay level to the horizon may they never gaze as high as heaven to ask why may I never go where angels fear to tread so as to have to ask for answers in the sky,’ she wrote, continuing, 'Keep reading my poems on the pages of #VogueItalia.'

The June issue hits newsstands on June 4.

Excited for it! Going through her discog for the first time in years. Makes me realize how hard she worked this decade. This will be her 7th album (if we include the Paradise EP) since she debuted in 2010. She's a powerhouse, albeit a low-key one compared to other big stars.

Also, I feel like I prefer the original cover that was released last year. This one's not bad, might take a while to get used to it. Maybe after I listen to the album it'll make sense.

This is the one 👇🏼, I thought this was the confirm album cover but apparently not.
