[Question] Cocoa's breed

well I was thinking of getting myself sometime in the future a dog, I think I have accepted the fact, that I had to give away my sweet Kira (St. Bernard) because of some circumstances.

This time I was thinking of getting myself a smaller dog than a St. Bernard, and I fell in love with Cocoa, she looks so cute.

So if anyone knows I would be glad if they could share it ^^

I would also like to know!! Cocoa is one of the cutest doggies!!

I want to know too! She seems to be a decent enough size for my mum to possibly allow me to get one once our cats are out of the picture XD

I always thought Cocoa Hamasaki is Yorkshire Terrier

Yes, Cocoa is indeed a Yorkshire Terrier. Purebreds are quite expensive though iirc.

Yes, they're quite expensive :(. I want one too now XD

Cool I love Yorkshire! *but I had cats..*
I still like big dogs more though xD

Azmaria 17th June 2010 08:57 AM

well smaller dogs are easier to take care of, I know since I had a huge dog, but since I still have my baby Soul (my sweet cat) I won't be getting myself atm a new dog, Soul would kill me, he is very jealous XD

It's a Yorkshire Terrier.
I have one too, Olivia. She's quite small like Cocoa and it's about 1.5 kilos.

But please note: Olivia has been illegally imported to Italy and I adopted her while she was nearly dieing. Now she feels good and it's almost 1 year old, but in order to grow her i passed 4 months feeding her with a syringe every 2 hours (night and day).
For most of breeds "Being Toy" (except for a few breeds like poodles) means have Dwarfism that is a malformation in dogs, not a quality that justifies a higher price.

Please note that the normal and correct size for a Yorkshire it's among 2.5 kilos and 4 kilos.
This is my 3rd yorkie and I advise you to take a female, since males are quite territorial, overprotective and tend to bark a lot.
They love to play and need (like all the animals) constance and presence.

Enjoy your Yorkie!

^ Wow... quite impressive what you did =)
Hope that Olivia stays healthy despite of the malformation
Cute pic BTW... :D

Really want a Yorkie!! =P
