[Tutorial Request] MOON/blossom hair style

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this thread, nor do I know if a similar has been created before (I've used the search function, but I have a bad habit at missing what's right in front of me, lol), and if so, I'm sorry!

Anyway, I wondered if anyone knows about a good tutorial video, or could explain it step by step yourself, on how to style the hair like Ayu's in the MOON/blossom single cover?

Thanks a bunch in advance! :D

Oh I'm sure some Japanese fashion mag will have a tutorial on how to do the hair soon. ;) Other than that, I would check on youtube.

That hairstyle looks so glamorous and stylish, and i'm pretty sure it's really easy to do.

Is your hair short (like ayu's) or long and with layers? If it's long and layered just throw the bottom layers in a bun and hide it under the short layers. I'm assuming your hair's straight, so correct me if i'm wrong.

Now, i think i know how to recreate this hairstyle. i think all u need is... hair rollers and hairspray lol. U could use a curling iron or even a flat iron instead, but hair rollers are so much better because they won't damage your hair. U wanna use the big ones because the small ones are gonna give u tighter curls and that's not the look u're aming for.

So yeah, just roller set your hair and wait for a couple of hours. U can either spray it once u're done roller setting it or spray it by sections before u use the rollers. I think that'd b better because it would give u more hold and hopefully more definition.

Then, just remove them and finger-comb your hair veeery softly. U don't wanna mess up your curls/waves too much, u just wanna soften them.

And finally, u'd just have to flat iron your bangs and use some more hairspray if your hair is fine (as in fine instead of coarse lol) and probably use some kind of hair pomade to add a little bit shine and softness, but beware: u just wanna use a little because otherwise u'll weigh it down and all your effort will be gone lol. U wanna keep it as voluminous as possible.

And that's it! I will try to find a tutorial later on how to do this, or at least on how to roller set your hair but i'm pretty sure u can do it ;D. I say go for it and post some pics if u decide to do it! Good luck!

I was going to recommend doing something similar but you really phrased things perfectly!! It's a shame my layers aren't good enough at the moment; I'd totally try it out!!

But yeah, are you a hairstylist or something?

I always wanted help with some Ayu hairstyles; I love Because of You hairstyle; maybe I should've asked here some time...

Thanks for the tutorial naxxo! (^^) I can do my little sister's hair like this now (*_*) Once I get my hair cut short like this, I can just wake up and it will be big, curly, and poofy XD So I'm all set, lol :laugh

naxxo: Wow, thanks a lot for the tutorial, sounds like it will work perfectly! :D And my hair is short (about the length on Ayu's MOON/blossom hair), by the way. It's not straight, though, it gets a little curly by air drying after showering, but almost close to straight when I use a dryer. :P Again, thanks for the help, I will definitively post a picture when I try it out. :)

I'm glad i helped u guys, but no, i'm not a hairstylist xD lol. I do love hair tho. It's one of my hobbies and since i love design in general i'm really interested in "hair design" as well lol. That and i always help my friends with their hair. They say i style so much better than they do lol.

Yeah that's perfect! U probably won't even have to blow-dry it if u use the rollers on wet hair ;). Give it a try and keep us updated, okay?! Good luck!

Actually, there is. Threads that are dead, died for a reason. You should definitely make your own thread for your own questions~
