First Ayu album since MY STORY I might not own!
 

So I have always been one for snatching Ayu's albums, no questions asked - CD+DVD (last year it was Limited Edition). Even the thought of not owning it - it was absurd. It's something I've always done and always wanted. This year I totally jumped for the Limited Edition, seeing as it was coming out before Christmas, and I have yearned for a pre-Christmas release so I can be as surprised with the final product on Christmas day as I was with MY STORY. I have held out on everything so far, ... but just cancelled my order with CDJapan. Reason being, my Mom told me she'd buy it but now is planning on getting me something else I "need" - (I think it's tires for my car - she said it's something to do with my car). So, I gave in and cancelled my order! I was planning on getting the CD version, but it's still like $50 with shipping.

Right now, I don't know what the point of me holding out is, but I still wish I could get the album on Christmas day. I just have some very high goals I am working toward and all my money needs to go toward my dream. Plus, years and years of Ayu albums/DVDs/photobooks and what do I have for it...? Something nice to look at for a few minutes.

It's a very sad day for me as an Ayu fan. It's tough that I won't be supporting her with this release.

I know how you feel, man! :( I can't get this album until my mom gets paid!! :tired It sucks being broke!! But at least I know that the album sounds fantastic (judging by the previews)! (^_^)

I had this thoughts about looking at it for a few days and then putting it into my collection in the shelf,too.

allnightraver, don't be too sad. It won't hurt anyone if you are not supporting a millionair this time. Just download the album in FLAC or 320kbps and enjoy your christmas holidays.

As you said, it is actually really useless to have all this stuff, because these things do not really have a "beneficing" for you (I hope it is the right word ^^°). For example, I collected something for like eight years, then I finally came to the view, that all this stuff has literally NO USE for me and my life, so I sold it all and got at least $1000 back from it (though I paid much more during my time as a collector).

I don't mean to say you are gonna sell your stuff, just wanted to let you know my very own experience regarding that topic. I think many people collect stuff during their "early years" and as an adult (in my case I was like 20) some of them are recognizing that they actually do not need all this bunch of material stuff.

Yes I am 21 now and it just hit me all of a sudden. I mean, with NEXT LEVEL I had to go and buy the re-issue of the damn USB from amazon and it has done me no good at all. It's sitting on my shelf in front of my R'n'R Circus box with my concert ticket leaning up against it. Lol.

That's how it looks at my home,too, with alle the Kuu,Ayu, Namie and Rihanna stuff :D

Don't worry about it. Just get it when YA has its next sale or something. Lately they do more and more sales so it won't be too long. In the meantime download it, but wait til the day of release or something if it makes you feel better lol

Car tires are more important than CDs lol I think Ayu can forgive you if you have to wait 3-4 months to finally purchase it xD

Which version are you looking at buying? I'd be willing to chip in and help out, if you like.

There is actually no need to get Limited Edition stuffs if you aren't able to do so. For me, buying a simple CD so that I can listen to and support ayu is enough, I don't need to fork out cash I don't have to purchase the same thing in USB form, just because it's "limited" and "special". What's important at the end of the day is the music, right? ;)

And no need to worry about getting the album the moment it is released. If you want to listen to it over X'mas, AHS Downloads is your best friend. Wait till you're financially more able, then get the CD to show support. ayu (or avex) will always be there to sell you a copy, be it on 22nd Dec 2010, or in 2015. :D

Guys if your parents are really broke, don't Jpop CDs with their money.

You could try to get OS press, it saves you a lot of money.
And that's only when you have the money so then you won't feel guilty about wasting your money. Unless of course you don't like the album and then you won't need to get it!

I may or may not be getting the USB version for Christmas this year, but whether I am or not, it doesn't make me a bad fan any more than it makes you a bad fan :) I think you should be happy and maybe later, you can find the album being sold for less money here in the buyer-seller forums, or on eBay ^_^

You can definitely not get it now but in the future :) the future is always open so there's gonna be LOADS of opportunities.

If you can't afford it, don't buy it. End of story. It doesn't make you a bad fan.

Sometimes we have to sacrifice things to gain others better :) Just do what you think its right to do atm, no rush... you might be able to get it if you want later on

Yeah, don't worry about it :3 And I mean, the Japanese presses are way too overrated in my opinion. It's not like you are cheap if you buy OS press of an album. Who cares really if there is korean/chinese/any other language besides Japanese in the OBI/Cd? I have many OS presses of the Regular Cd's. I only buy Japanese press because of the possible extras and because of the DVD, since it's region 2 like here~

Or, you can download the album and enjoy it untill you can get the album. It's not that bad!
Oh and besides, Ayu is like the 7th richiest female artist in the World so no need to worry : P And I'm sure she isn't angry to you. You aren't bad fan at all!

I haven't had any package quality problems..O__O [expect one Japanese Ebay seller, but that's other story..]
