What do you think about Love Songs and Last angel?
I made a thread for both PV's because It makes a Story :)

I love both videos and it's very excited the whole Story and it will be all good at the End. :)

U-GO-BOY 21st December 2010 02:32 PM

I think Virgin Road is also part of the story^^
the order is Love song - Last angel - Virgin road :)

Kirshwasser 21st December 2010 03:01 PM

pride123 21st December 2010 03:11 PM

The car scene in Last angel reminds me of ourselves PV :x

U-GO-BOY 21st December 2010 03:15 PM

^ yeah, totally!

*Ayu_Freak* 21st December 2010 03:34 PM

No, I thought Virgin Road, Love Song and then Last Angel, beause in Love Song the girl and Manuel had stolen money and these reminded Ayu and she felt down.

panda♥ 21st December 2010 03:42 PM

they're all epic PVs, and it's nice to see how they're connected way better than glitter + fated. :laugh

I don't REALLY understand these vid... love song + last angel... can anyone care to explain to me..
like what is the significance of the other ayu look alike girl?
how did ayu die?
who is chasing ayu......

LacusClyne 21st December 2010 05:29 PM

^huh? the other ayu look alike?

if you mean the girl who rob with Mannie, that IS ayu. i got my USB version and had just watched the DVD making of, it IS Ayu.
They had to cut the mask a little smaller, as the mask is too big for Ayu.

987654321987 21st December 2010 05:31 PM

no i mean the white girl that was with mannie... what is her significance in the film?
is ayu a ghost haunting the girl? i dunno...

The ending for Virgin Road didn't match if continue to Love song, so I think the correct order is : Love song - Last angel - Virgin Road

Though we need some interpretation to understand the whole PV.

My thoughts are only like this :
In Love song PV, Ayu left Mannie, but we haven't find the reason that time. She's just running away and suddenly meets a robber crime. Maybe Ayu is so depressed and think that the bank robber is Mannie, failed to run and gets shot by the officer.

In Last angel PV, the scene where Ayu sing is just an illusion I think, because she already died. Also, Mannie is cheating on another woman, that might be the reason why Ayu leave him. The scene where Ayu running away from a stalker (Perhaps) represent Ayu feeling at that time, she wants to go anywhere but she can't, and it's troubling her. At the end of the PV, the REAL Mannie come in a dream, and they go together.

In Virgin Road PV, they dreaming having fun, rob a bank, and so on....

It's just my opinion anyway, feel free to discuss~

milky_way 21st December 2010 05:57 PM

That short rock-ish hairstyle does not work on her, but beyond that I liked both PVs :yes

Bubbly 21st December 2010 06:02 PM

I think Mannie is dead in Love Song PV. Like when the taxi driver checks the mirror and Mannie is suddenly gone, or when he is running trough the streets and you can't see him in the window of this shop

waterballoon 21st December 2010 06:15 PM

Okay here is my interpretation.

In Love song, Ayu wants to leave Mannie, but we're unsure of why or what happened. All we know is that she's leaving & he's chasing them. It comes to a point where Ayu witnesses a robbery. Now here's the confusing part:

- the robbers may or may not have been Ayu & Mannie
- most likely they're random robbers BUT Ayu "sees" them as herself & Mannie; like a DEJA VU from her past (in Virgin Road), which also explains why they were wearing masks, almost to give off that "identity is hidden" feeling.

So anyway, 1 of the robbers shoot Ayu & she falls/dies/whatever.

In Last angel, we see a continuation of the last scene in Love song, with a typical 'Ayu soul' persona singing out as she watches. We then see interlinked scenes of Mannie with another woman, and Mannie with Ayu.

So like quite obviously, Mannie is 2-timing Ayu lol. Anyway, the later scenes where she starts escaping and running from SOMEONE is baffling, and I've been thinking why she is running away and so in fear, especially of a particular person who seems to have her at the end of the car scene. My thoughts;

- She's running away from Mannie, who finds her eventually, but I don't see why she would be so afraid
- She's running away from the police, assuming Mannie & her really are the robbers in Love song

Either way, this is the only scene in the trilogy I haven't figured out, so~

Then we go back to the streets where a dead Ayu lies, and suddenly, Mannie from the PAST aka his previous life "comes back" to take Ayu

& we come to Virgin Road, which we see Ayu & Mannie getting married. For obvious reasons, this Ayu & Mannie is obviously a past life, while the Ayu & Mannie we see in Love song & Last angel are the present beings.

So yes, we know what happens in Virgin Road, a happy ending for the past life, but is there a happy ending for the present life? I mean she's dead & he cheated on her...

I also think it's a good shoutout to this particular stanza in Virgin Road:

I feel that person you once met and loved
Is somehow like the person I love
For example, his casual gestures somehow remind me of the image of that person
When I noticed that
A very warm single tear slid down my cheek

It's like she's showing... the present her is seeing/feeling what her past life/mother has experienced with Mannie/her father, well almost.

The thing is, it's like how Ayu herself feels a connection between herself & Mannie, and her parents.

And, it was different for herself because things happen, like Mannie 2-timing her, so it's like Mannie reminds her of her dad, yet it is different because Mannie ISN'T her dad omg I hope I made sense.

But still, this trilogy is the best PV in the album, alongside with blossom (I know many are hatin' on blossom PV cos Ayu isn't in it/Jaejoong is in it & I feel sorry for those who haven't even watched it cos the story is beautiful and matches the song reli well, and the mood is fantastic too~)...

I just watched the PV again and what you said is true.
He isn't real at all, Ayu acts like didn't see Mannie from the beginning, he can't be seen in the window shop, in taxi mirror, also he didn't splash the water when stepping the water, he isn't real in that PV. (There's also a sound effect when Mannie chasing the taxi)

So Ayu is cried because Mannie is dead?
She decide to go somewhere but seeing someone like Mannie (who is already dead) robs a bank, together with herself? She thinks it's weird and fainted.
It makes more sense :laugh

Or Ayu is also dead from the beginning?
Because the entire Last angel PV didn't showing she's alive.
We only can see Ayu's illusion singing near that place, where Ayu is fainted.

The random stalker scene is still confusing though...

I think it's Virgin Road - Love Song - Last Angel - Do it again

Virgin road - They're happy and just got married doing all the crazy robbing they want they run away happy
Love song - She breaks up with him because she remembers their ugly past of killing and robbing, end: ayu on the ground
Last Angel - Beginning: ayu on the ground She's dead and alone and the relationship is over, she looks back at all the fun
Do it again - They started a trend of violence and now the neighborhood is at war, she's dead the whole time because she died in Last Angel. she wakes up alone and everything is "done again" there is an explosion at the end, she goes to heaven.

legends_asallas 21st December 2010 07:38 PM

^do it again isn't connected. Nice theory though

I like your interpretation a lot waterballoon :D! I liked the PVs a lot, I only didn't like the parking garage scenes cause I felt they were a waste of time since I didn't feel they were adequately explored.

voltron 21st December 2010 07:47 PM

Hmmm...not really sure what to think, and then there's also Do It Again & Sweet Season, which both end very mysteriously.

Using just these three, I'm thinking maybe something like:
Virgin Road - Love Song - Last Angel

Virgin Road is their past together -- they fall in love, get married, rob a bank and get a lot of money.
Then we move to Love Song -- with all the money they stole, they have a nice place in the city, and live a glamorous life. We see Ayu leaving Mannie, but we're not sure why. She's running out, and gets caught in the midst of this robbery and dies. She's upset the whole time and starts thinking that the robbers are like she and Mannie, and in her mind pictures them to be one in the same.
Which brings us to Last Angel -- where we see the back story that Ayu left because Mannie cheated. They've been running for a long time, looking at their backs because the police have been trying to find them for robbing the bank. At the end, we realize that Ayu has died in the shooting, and she imagines Mannie in his suit coming to save her in her wedding dress. Her going to "heaven" is restoring their relationship to how she fondly remembered it, as in Virgin Road.
---------------------------
Then, maybe Sweet Season and Do It Again are related.

Sweet Season was Ayu's life before, she was happy. Then something went wrong in the world, and it turned into a war zone. At the end of Do It Again there's a bright light that reminds Ayu of her past life in Sweet Season. She's reliving the Sweet Season memory, and goes back to that pool to relive her memories, and falls asleep. Then she wakes up and realizes the world has gone to crap and she's lonely and sad again.

Mari-chan 21st December 2010 08:45 PM

I also think Mannie is dead in "Love Song".
And Ayu wanna go somewhere, because he is dead. No idea, what to say to the bank robbery... maybee, she really see a robbery and think of her and Mannie, and is shoot by an police-man.
It makes sense for me.
But I don't understand Last Angel. Ok.. Ayu is shoot. But.. why Mannie with the other women? And why, someone is following her wherever she goes? She is afraid.
In the end, Mannie, who still is dead, is pick her up to the time, when they had their good time. So.. the moment, when they married and so on.
But I really don't know what to think about MAnnie with other women and Ayu in dress, who is run away from Mannie.

*Ayu_Freak* 21st December 2010 08:48 PM

No, Mannie isn't dead in Love Song xDD
