"CAROLS" Performance: What Does This Word Means?

Listen to 1:23.

She sang "soshite", even the lyrics were written so.

It supposed to be "yagate".

Any native Japanese or anyone who's good in Japanese mind telling me what it means?

It's been bugging me.

Thank you, fellow Ayu fans!

soshite means and then, yagate means before long. The change doesn't make much difference to the lyric as a whole, so I think she just misplaced the word.

From
Before long, many seasons passed by swiftly before us

To
And then, many seasons passed by swiftly before us

:)

Haha me too. Your post actually made me go back and listen to the original song again. :heart

Really? Isn't "CAROLS" good? :luv2

I love it how pitchy her "I" vowel is!

I think she deliberately sang it so, as the lyrics were written on screen as she sang.

The mystery's solved! :yes
