New Remix Album (vol. 2)

Quoting from the first thread. In a nutshell. Max has officially/unofficially announced that an ayu trance 4 is in the works.

Quote:

Ok, this is as early as an announcement gets. For those who missed all the action:

Ayu trance 4 is going to be released, and Ayu-mi-x 7 and Ayu-ro mix 4 are currently also being considered.

Several members, including myself (Rody!), kept on tweeting Ayu and Max (Ayu's manager) to release a new remix album. Suddenly, Max tweeted Ayu. He told her there was a lot of request for an Ayu Trance album, and he asked Ayu what to do. Ayu replied to hem: 'let's make it, let's make it!'.
So, several tweets later, Max posted that he has decided to 'make Ayu Trance 4'. He also said he is considering other mix-albums as well..

So thanks to us AHS-ers, we sparked the creation of a new remix album!!

Tweets
Max: Ayu Tranceのリクエスト多いけどどうする? There are a lot of requests for Ayu Trance, but how will we proceed?
Ayu: 創ろう♪創ろう♪ Let's start it! Let's start it!
Max: では、久々に得意ジャンル制作させて頂きます! Well, it's been a long time since we worked on this genre!
Ayu: いぇ~(^O^)/(^O^)/(^O^)/♪ Yea!
Max: 大丈夫。いつも通りアカペラで俺たちが作るから It's okay, we'll justt use the a capella's (that are already made)
Ayu: 楽しみ~っっっ(^O^) It will be fun! / That's cool!

Fan: Are you release a new Ayu trance 4? Is it true? (*O*)
Max: 今さっき、決まった! We have JUST decided on that!

kirei_ayumi 9th January 2011 10:09 PM

that's awesome :D

JackieRos 9th January 2011 11:25 PM

I want it noooow

Bad Wolf 9th January 2011 11:40 PM

Same, same. Her trance albums are my favorite as far as traditional remixes go. The Acoustic Orchestras are, IMO, in a realm all their own.

Daggi_X 10th January 2011 12:44 AM

It's an AHS-miracle :D
I'm excited to see how this will turn out!

TITANIC 10th January 2011 12:47 AM

I'm gonna bring up the discussion from the first thread.

I really don't see the point in compilation albums either unless they have some heavy material going on in there. If I am going to buy a compilation album, it better have new editing and mixing, unreleased songs, the artist's best songs to date, alternate arrangements and compositions, and amazing packaging. Slapping a bunch of songs on an album with 1 new song, standard jewel case packaging, ugly cover art, no new/up to date/alternate remixes/versions, no unreleased demos or songs, no new songs, or any of those bells and whistles is hardly worth buying except for collector's purposes. (talking about a best 2)

I never buy compilation albums, but I did buy utada's single collection vol. 2 cause it had tons of songs I love, a remix that wasn't physically released before, a second cd of brand new songs, a dvd with a music video of one of those songs, really cool digi-pack packaging, super high quality glossy laser jet paper booklet, and a cute paper kuma charm for good luck. That is worth buying. SCV1 though? no...not worth my money. It was just a compilation of already released songs on a standard cd with nothing new.

True, but BEST albums normally are made for people who are not fans, who may hear a few songs from an artist occasionally on radio and likes them enough. If I'm not an ayu fan, A BEST II/A COMPLETE will seem like great buys.

Even as a fan, I have to disagree with you about A BEST II. The arrangement of the songs on the 2 albums was something that changed it from a normal release to one I really loved (Black with the darker songs, White for happy ones). The albums made me listen to songs I haven't listened to since their initial release, and hearing them all together made me realize why I fell in love with ayu in the first place. I still listen to those albums now. :)

I disagree. At first I want to follow Misa with my opinion and furthermore I don't think that SCV2 is worth the money. I don't get why Hikki released a compilation of her last two albums. The first seven songs are from Heart Station, the following five are from Ultra Blue plus one remix. Utada herself complained about Utada the best because there are only two Utada albums from which you could take songs for a best of. Instead of the second disc of SCV2 I would have liked a mini-album. But with SCV2 it really seems for me as if she was only to lazy to write 2 or 3 songs more for a mini-album. Creating a best of out of only two albums is for me as if she would only recycle her last works. Releasing a best of after three new albums is one thing, but after only two?

Pieces_of_SEVEN 10th January 2011 03:19 PM

OK, so I definitely just had a dream that it was revealed that ayu trance 4 would be released on March 30.

So I checked, and that's a Wednesday...kinda freaky. Haha I'm hoping my dream is a premonition though!

Suteisi 10th January 2011 03:45 PM

March 30th :D That sounds like a good date, even though it's a bit fast~

Pieces_of_SEVEN 10th January 2011 03:49 PM

Meh...not to me. I think five months is sufficient time to make remixes! Haha :)

Suteisi 10th January 2011 03:52 PM

Question is if they've even started! Lol

Bad Wolf 10th January 2011 03:58 PM

I hope you turn out to be psychic!

They have. Max said about a month ago that they were waiting for demos from the DJs
