I my memory serves, she mentioned on twitter that the new tour dates would be announced soon

LacusClyne 14th January 2011 02:58 AM

don't worry. she said on twitter that tour dates will be announce soon. (^_^)

ayu lives to sing, i doubt she will retire anytime soon. I can imagine ayu still singing 10 years from now...

AngieChan 14th January 2011 03:19 AM

especially when she has a baby though.. that will def be a halt in her activities

Thanks guys! I will keep a look out for tour dates - do we know which months? is it late this year or?

I need to plan my money..

If its soon, I think its going to follow the same pattern as the past few years. Tour from April - July, then extra dates in October.

Speaking of baby, Ayu will definitely need to learn to REST and get PLENTY OF SLEEP! No more staying up all night! It's bad for the baby's health!

AngelSenshi 14th January 2011 01:56 PM

I don't think she will retire any time soon, even if she is married and all that. But yeah, tour dates will be announced soon! Impressive! She's honeymooning and yet everything for the near future is already planned! She's amazing.

She hasn't said anything about having a child, and there's no reason for you to automatically assume that she'll breed now that she's married.

ETA: No legitimate reason, that is, besides the misguided assumption that that's what all women have to do after they get hitched. Beyond that, Ayu hasn't given us a reason to think that's what she's going to do any time soon.

Tony G 14th January 2011 03:08 PM

lmao @ the baby talk. shotgun wedding and shotgun baby!

Some AHS members watch too much TV..

alternarist 14th January 2011 03:47 PM

i guess one thing good about being a fan of ayu is that we can be sure that ayu will not retire any time soon! :)

Ayumi said many, many, many times that singing is so important to her, she will continue doing it as long as she can and people are willing to listen. That woman even deafened on one ear and continued singing like nothing happened. Don't worry, probably an ARENA or ASIA TOUR starting around April til September-November with a break for a-nation and then CDL again :)

I don't think fans are jumping the gun completely without reason. I know this probably has nothing to do with it, but her Sweet Season PV did have a feeling of wistfulness about it, especially concerning the children. I don't know, but I don't think Ayu is completely out of tune with that "woman" side of her. It's true that she might never have kids, and she might not want them now, even, but I felt that that PV kind of expressed the fact that she has, at some point, thought about it.

I think it's natural for a woman to have those types of feelings, since the female body has many features for the sole purpose of childbirth. For some women, the thought of having no children, ever, is an extremely alien thought, not just because of social pressures but because of their own body and feelings. So, I don't think it's easy to discredit some opinions, because they have their own reasons for thinking that Ayu might one day choose that road.

At the same time, however, I don't think she's having a child right now. I think there's a lot of stuff she wants to do, and places she wants to go, so she doesn't want to tie herself down even further. However, even if we think, "Ayu doesn't want kids" or "She's not going to have them", accidents do happen...

Bad Wolf 15th January 2011 07:07 PM

^ That's if you interpret the Sweet Season PV that way. Myself and others interpreted it as Ayu showing that a happy life full to burst with kids is a dream inflated to the brim with saccharine, unrealistic sweetness.

And I don't, because I don't think it's fair to the women who DON'T have these feelings, as it implies they are unnatural and therefore somehow wrong and flawed. No one says a man is "unnatural" for not wanting to be a father -- or, if they do, they definitely aren't the majority -- so why should a woman get that kind of crap?

And there are ways to take care of accidents. What's your point?

I'm not of the opinion that Ayu never wants children ever, only that people are wrong to think that marriage = instant baby plans (or that woman = instant baby plans). You can think it's a possibility, yes, nothing wrong with that at all -- just like there's nothing wrong with not having any plans, and not intending to have children even if you are married. Consider opposing sides rather than just the one. I may be only speaking of one side (the no kids one) but I do actually hold true to considering both. I've simply made my choice and would like it if more people realized there IS a choice involved.

If you've studied science you know that via evolution women who had the desire to have children were the ones who had children and thus passed on this characteristic to their offspring, and those who did not have that characteristic did not survive, and through millions of years of evolution, women have been naturally programmed to have children and keep the species alive, its not being discriminant against women who do not want children, since no matter how much time passes there will always be women who do not want children, but the grand majority, and yes the norm, is for women to want children, not because of sexism or anything but because its their instinct that has been implanted in them. Men however do not necessarily feel the need to have children because they have mainly evolved to hunt and get food, I.E. their job, men are concerned with their job, that is why if a man does not have a solid job or good money they reach their mid life crisis because they feel they have failed to accomplish their life goal (their instinctive goal). That is why it is normal for women to have children, not wanting to do so isn't wrong, its simply not the norm of evolution and society. I'm not saying Ayu will have a baby, I'm hoping she doesn't because that would mean a slow down in her activities.

Bad Wolf 16th January 2011 12:01 AM

Oh I know you meant evolution, duckie, but I don't care about evolution lol. At least not in this context. I'm talking about choices people make despite our bodies and biological make up, because part of the human sophistication is that we CAN make this choice. That's all I meant :3 I wasn't trying to accuse you of any sexist way of thinking, either. I'm sorry if it seemed that way!

It almost sounds like you're saying women won't care if they don't have a stable job and good money. And that all men care about is bringing in money. I don't think men feel incomplete at 50 when they realize they don't have money or a stable job... it's when they realize they've let opportunities slip by and that time is running out, and ask have they been really doing all this time? You can have all the money in the world and a stable job and be very much unaccomplished and depressed.

IN OTHER NEWS, Ayu's main tours are normally announced around this time. I'm hoping to go to one! :D

AyumiAi 16th January 2011 12:41 AM

I wasn't offended at all lol :p just my take on the thing but yea we can choose to ignore it that's totally up to the person but the I instinct is there and I wasn't saying women arrant concerned about their job either but women having a job is because of equality in society not because of natural instinct that's what I'm saying

Anyways I hope her tour gets announced soon as well I'm hoping to go this year for the first time :)
