Which female artist/group does the best dance performances?
 

It’s almost impossible to imagine a pop artist or group without considering their dance choreographies. For example, veteran J-pop group EXILE is known for their great dance performances, and recently their female protégés, “Happiness“, described themselves as a ‘dance unit’.

Considering this emphasis on dance in pop music, mobile portal site ‘NTT DoCoMo/goo‘ wanted to know which female solo artist or group delivers the best dance performances. The results are in, so check them out below!

The mere fact that BoA is not on top and that AKB48 is ranked (while I do enjoy them) certainly invalidates this poll...

The difference in votes between Namie and the others is huge!

That makes no sense since KARA and Shoujo Jidai are also on the list

I dont want to like, totally invalidate the list, but it seems based more on like...just what is known rather than any kind of merit.

But that's how these polls always go.

I'm really happy Kuu is at 5th though...even if she should be at 3rd....*cough*

Maybe it's because BoA hasn't had any power dance songs or dance songs recently in general?

Perfume definitely belongs up there. They work their asses off. lol

it looks like a popularity list to me lol but I'm proud for namie though, huuuge difference in votes!

It's probably more about what japanese people know and like, that's why AKB and Kara are so high up in the list.

The mere fact that Shoujo Jidai, KARA, AKB48, and Perfume are so high invalidates this poll.

I don't know about BoA's live dance performances that much but I understand perfectly why Namie's the first. Her performances are awesome. <3 And I'm happy for Kuu as well, she has amazing performances too. <3

BoA is low on the list cuz her peak is over and her fanbase is very reduced... just that

Lol @ AKB being higher than BoA. Their dances are ridiculously simple. This poll should have been called "Most popular female artist/group." At least it looks more like that than a poll about dance ability.
