SME and AVEX TRAX which is bigger
 

it's just my curiousness
between avex n sme which one is bigger in asian market...

personally,i think that avex is bigger than sme and more important in asia,but is only my personal opinion ^_______^

SM is definitely Korea's equivalent of Avex. In terms of domestic markets, Avex wins, simply because Japan is much larger and the second biggest music market in the entire world, but in terms of Asia Wide sales and profits...

Probably still Avex, but I'm not as sure.

I see them as equals tbh, they're both the leading music/entertainment companies in their home countries and they're both also international. The best of the best of Jpop and Kpop come out of avex and SME :heart

and SM and Avex are besties irl guys (they had that fight last year but they already made up lol), it ain't cool to compare them :no !!!!!!!11

^ I know that, but whenever kpop and jpop are compared around here, the Kpop side almost always gets bashed/rude comments .. all it causes is trouble and I don't see why there needs to be 38972617302395 threads about it :shrug

I say avex for the above reasons: more operations in more counties plus the size of Japan's music market in comparison to Korea's.

Not to mention the fact that "Avex Trax" is just one part, although probably a big part, of the Avex Group Holdings conglomerate company.

So, idk, in many ways, they are much bigger than SME.

Sometimes I get a feeling Avex isn't treating their artists any better than SME but I am not going to fight with you about it. Just saying what I feel at times lol.

Besides I seriously think this thread is useless. Every time threads like this are made, there will be hatred towards awesome korean pop. People should care about the music, not about some record companies imo so I am not saying which one's better because I really don't know.
