well the way this works, is..

the numbers on the side are their audience impressions (in millions), i.e. how many people hear it on radio in that given week. E.T. has 150,000,000 audience impressions (AI) and every 1,000,000 AI gets it 1 chart points. Every 1,000 sales also gets it 1 chart points. Both airpaly and sales are factored together (along with streaming sites such a Yahoo, AOL, Vevo..)
Since Katy has 150M AI and ADELE has 120M AI, that means ADELE will have to sell at least 31,000 more copies of "Rolling In The Deep" than Katy can of "E.T." in order to be #1. That being side, that is very likely. "Rolling In The Deep" is #1 on iTunes while E.T. is #7.
