Well I searched through most the music and celebrity news but couldn't find any thread that talks about this.

Ayu had finally had her own Weibo account and she is using it now!!!!!!!

However, I don't know if the stuffs that she wrote in Weibo are same with Twitter or not because I never follow her twit.

As I said in the other thread, I think this is great. She's really reaching out internationally now. Ignorantly, I never knew Twitter was banned in China; her fans must have felt so left out. Hopefully now she'll halve her time between the two.

Weibo is just like a Chinese version of twitter.
I personally encourage the ones who want to watch ayu on weibo to download the mobile app, either weico or weibo, on their iphones! ^ ^
The instructions can be set in English when using the apps~ So, no need to worry~ :cool

regarding the government wanting to control online discussion in times of crisis: look what Twitter did for the people of Japan who were devastated by the earthquake. it helped people get in contact with loved ones and find shelters and things like that. Ayu and so many other artists were also constantly tweeting helpful info for their fans. i think Twitter was a great thing to have in that horrible time.
