Ayu's Most Underated Song?
 

basically all the songs included in albums but not released as singles r underated...other than a few(heartplace....someone'll we happy...). I think its Close To You, ayu wrote dat hersel and da meody si great, but since its at the way end of the album i dun think ppl pay much attention to it....or maybe dats just another one of my freaky pointless theoriesO.o...

i think her most underrated song is...end of the world..or of course..heartplace (of course she sings it, but not nearly enough for jerms satisfaction) :D

But tell me, why would a song be underrated? Does the fact that it isn't released on single for example make it underrated? That's a different issue, I think... it doesn't have much to with a song being underrated or not. I think for us, as 'die-hard' Ayu fans, who know all the songs etc., there aren't really songs that are underrated as such. But I do think it's a pity Ever Free was NEVER released on a regular album... that is prolly THE most underrated Ayu song ever. It's so good, but other than Die Hard Ayu fans, not many ppl will know the song.

Ever Free HALS mix is better than Ever Free but both are probably the two or three underrated Ayu songs out there. Usually when something is "underrated" it isn't very good hence the fact that few people know about it.

On what album is the H/\L's mix?

I'm buying it.

Wishing, Scar, No More Words, Close to You, Ever Free. ~These are on my top list of favorite Ayu songs... And Opening Run, even though it has NO vocals.. its great with the sound effects and all. I made a VERY creative intro to the school's morning announcements with it one time.. it was AWESOME. ^_^


OR rather, that the company and/or the artist did not think at the time of the releases that single would be appropriate to release. Or they didn't think, at the time, that the large scale population would enjoy the song. Otherwise, its our luck then, as Ayu-fans.. (perhaps not your hypocritcal, pompus a$$) to hear a great song on the album and not have it "played out." So to hell with your crap. ^_^ These songs are great and they'll stay so with me!

And Then, ever free, and YOU "northern breeze mix" (no one talks about it... like ever! and I absolutely adore that mix).

I didn't really like Close to you that much either... it kind of just mixed in with the other tracks towards the end of Rainbow. o_o;

Remixes don't count. The song is known and that COMPLETELY contridicts the term Underrated SONG. Perhaps its an underrated REMIX.. but not song.

I don't get some people's logic sometimes.. I'm not bashing, I swear. But what the hell does track placement have to do with anything when it comes down to the song? Does it have to be number 1 on the list and the album MUST be called by that song's name to be liked? No. That's why its an UNDERRATED song. -_- Oy. (Checkpoint: not angry, still) I'm just amazed by some of the weird logic used to define a song a person doesn't like. If you don't like it, say so. Like Jerms did. Otherwise, I dun want to hear a stupid reason like.. "IT WAS TRACK 14 on RAINBOW! ROAR!!!" And sometimes.. people don't want to always hear the REALLY slow ballads until the end.. hence why its back there. Or that's how the album fits together the best.

I'm sorry.. but I stand up for Close to you because its a heck of a lot better than Voyage Now THAT song gets on my nerves.. ugh. (Still not angry.. dun worry. ^_-)

the scary thing is i havent listened to 5 or 8 songs by ayu b4.....such as wishing/girlish/two of us/end of the world...never get around to listening to them...and ive been a fan 4 2 years..

*nods* I fully agree. The placement doesn't define a song's nature. There's ALWAYS gonna be tracks at the beginning of an album, and there will ALWAYS be tracks at the end of an album. It's just so.

To judge an album objectively, one should actually play it in "Shuffle" Mode every time, so that it plays in a different order [if you have trouble listening all the way through it]. :)
