I think in 2001 it made her look edgy and cool, but now it just ages her really badly, I think it's because she's lost weight in her cheeks.

2001 is my favorite hairstyle by Ayu ever... and I agree there are some differences between 2001 & 2012 (i.e. bangs, volume). She pulled the 2001 haircut off again around the GUILTY era and looked great, but in 2012 it's a bit different and I don't like it as much.

It's not the same, but I think ten years ago looked cuter, only because it was a tad longer. I don't like such short hair on ayu.

I agree with you guys, it did look better back in 2001. It had more volume and looked a bit cooler. It would be nice if she started to let her hair grow out more now :)

It looked slightly teased back then and just a bit longer, so it looked very good on her, I think. But in 2012, for whatever reason it just makes her look kinda frumpy and a bit older than what she really is. I think some longer hair would give her a softer look and make her look more her age. I'm not too fond of short hair in general.

But I like Ayu with short hair. Allthough.. yeah, her recent short haircut isn't my favourite.

I have never been a fan of her Short hair, yet she always seems to be having extentions, i guess she just likes to keep going long then short.

I have known Ayumi since the Evolution Era and yeah she looked nice with the blond short hair, but now she's getting older, its not looking so good on her, I am suprised how young she looks with long hair "Days" and "Momentum" and with short hair looking older then what she is "Humming 3/4"

My Personal fav hair styles of Ayumi is "Ladies Night" and "Don't Look Back"
