I love these early-recording versions, sometimes they sound much better than the finals in the singles/albums (e.g. JEWEL, among others). Thanks for sharing these rarities, ExodusUK!

omg I still can't get over how much better Naturally sounds. The vocals are so clear and crisp. TO THIS DAY. WHY. And I remember how disappointed I was to hear Moments after getting hyped up from the cm, but it's still a reallllly awesome song so yah.

I would have loved I am... and naturally and would have thought,
The heck is she doing in the tuka version.


I would have probably ignore the songs and just stare at how beautiful she is.

These commercials made me feel so nostalgic!

The hanabi one sort of put me off the song, though.

I did hear the songs on a lot of those commercials before the full things were released!

The only one I would have liked is the WE WISH one, since that was the first song I ever heard from her and was amazed. The other ones I wouldn't have thought much of, although I really love the Hanabi PV. :heart She looks so...normal there. She's a normal person singing a song while sad in the rain. So many people sing in the rain, it's good to see her do it, too (even if it is a PV and it's her own song lol).

I remember Ayu saying in the I Am... liner notes they had 100 or something different versions of Naturally, would be interesting to listen to them all. Plus Still Alone with REAL instruments :grumpy

HANABI in that CM was infinitely more emotional than anything I've ever heard. Why is that not the real song?

WTF now I want a hot stone massage. :laugh That song did not fit the CM in the least. XD

I love her old CMs. I remember they were only about 2 mbs and it was easy to download them from divine ayu. Oh those were times :) Basically, if she didn't have those CMs, I wouldn't be attracted to ayu that much. I had a dial-up internet and all I could enjoy were those CMs. I could watch them non-stop :)

Then eventually I got the mp3s and concerts :)

Btw, that Tu-Ka HANABI CM (15sec) was one of the first video with ayu I've seen. I think I still remember the feelings I had when I first saw it. Oh, it was only 10 years ago, but that time I didn't have a mobile phone and I thought "wooow, it's so cool, it even has music"... Lol, who knew that someday there'd be iPhones, iPads and etc.

The only one I saw first was the Moments one, and I remember the hooplah and the "NOOOO WE WERE BETRAYED" around it. :laugh

As for the others, the only one that would annoy me and make me change the channel is the WE WISH one. But I think that's one of her ughest songs. (Composition is annoying when matched with her voice imo.)

^I remember people were debating/almost arguing whether or not it was Ayu singing Moments in the CM. I personally wish we would have gotten a full version with the vocals in the CM.

Same here! I had the same terrible internet connection..I had to go to my friend's house if I wanted to watch a whole pv. Haha. I saw all of these before the songs were released except for Vouge, because I became a fan in 2001. Those really were the days! There was always so much to look forward to around a release!
