Producers/acts you would like Ayu to work with~

It's been a long time since SWEETBOX and I wouldn't mind if Ayu worked with some known producers/composers. I would love Ayu x The XX, I can imagine Ayu singing a lullaby type song over music like this

Also Japanese band Boris, i think it could work well~

relmy 8th August 2012 06:14 PM

Nah, I disagree, Ayu is totally wrong for The XX.

Trying to sing something in their style would seriously overemphasise how squeaky she can be, even with her current vocals. She isn't mellow enough.

YuriChan 8th August 2012 09:38 PM

Tak Matsumoto.. Nuff said.

NintendoHTF1242 8th August 2012 10:36 PM

Another DAISHI DANCE remix kbai

Delirium-Zer0 8th August 2012 11:24 PM

YuriChan knows who I'm gonna say, and naturally, she's already said it! :)

I'd like to see ayu do at least one proper 100% rock album. Just honest, catchy, emotional, raw, powerful music with REAL instrumentation. Well-produced but charmingly rough around the edges. I would LOVE to see Ayu do this. And a collaboration with Tak Matsumoto would be amazing for this.

I also wouldn't mind seeing her collaborate with the guys from Monkey Majik for another sort of approach. Songs like "call" and "Letter" and "count down" and "It was" and "Love song" make me think she could do that pretty well.

My dream collaboration would be Ayu and Kuu. If they formed a group, kinda like how Namie joined Suite Chic, I bet their popularity would increase. I can dream... :smitten

I would love for Ayu to collaborate with them as well. Having listened to the music they have composed and produced for other artist; not to mention Blaise's and Maynard's solo work and Monkey Majik's own body of work and remixes they have done, a collaboration with Ayu should be a piece of cake for all sides to create something solid and well polished.

COMPLEX's Hotei Tomoyasu would do something epic if not amazing with ayumi since he's legendary royalty in the industry with him being part of 1 of the most influential JRock bands ever aka BOØWY

If not , his counterpart Himuro Kyosuke is another great choice if ayumi wants to continue doing rock music in her future works

If all else , capsule's Nakata Yasutaka , please ! that guy is a genius in almost everything he does for other artistes >_<

Delirium-Zer0 9th August 2012 04:23 AM

Oh man I would LOVE to see ayu collaborate with anyone from BOOWY! That would be so freaking cool. Ayu likes classic rock too so it would probably be a very fruitful collaboration, it seems like she'd feel comfortable with that sound.

rian_hamasaki 9th August 2012 07:49 AM

how about Ayumi Hamasaki + Johnnnys Entertainment (JE) heheheh
i want to see ayu collab with her ex boy friend Tomoya nagase (tokio) or Arashi
but i also want to see her making collaboration with Mr. children .....
or Dj Bass (soul scream) i think she should make another rap album with DJ bass (remember her EP "Nothing from Nothing")

warawiri 9th August 2012 11:41 AM

how bou if ayu+lin kin park or evanessence...
loll

Strongbad456 9th August 2012 01:45 PM

I'd like her to work with Daisuke Asakura but it's not probable since she hasn't worked with him already.

Delicious n Bold 9th August 2012 07:20 PM

I kinda want Ayu to collaborate with Yasutaka Nakata like how Ami Suzuki did...

i was gonna say the same thing, but was afraid of the hate i might receive! haha!

Delirium-Zer0 10th August 2012 03:13 AM

I don't think I'd mind that! But I don't really like the slightly more organic route he's been taking with capsule & Perfume lately... Not sure he's in the phase of his career where he's at his best anymore. =\
