LOVEppears Monochrome ending

Hello dear people from the forum. I would like to know why monochrome ends so abruptly. It happens in all LOVEppears old versions and in the new one that I've downloaded.

Does anybody have the song with the full ending version?

Thanks in advance!!

I think that's how it's supposed to end. Kinda like Utada Hikaru's Take 5 Song

the "fullest" ending may be found in the original mix in the 1999 "A" single.

unfortunately, it's also abrupt, but after the music stops, you can hear a man saying "yeah, right", throwing the CD out, and then going out of the room, shutting the door.

Its supposed to end that way...

It's been a good while but I read an interessting discussion on this topic here in the forum. Can't seem to find it again but here a good interpretation, in the second paragraph . http://www.deliriumzer0.com/ayu/daily-monochrome

It's always been like that. She is talking about how strong she is in the song at the moment it cuts off with someone saying yeah right in the background. Basically, saying that she's lying to herself.

WHAT! I’ve always heard the door close, but never the man! I’ll have to re listen when I can!

Me neither xD
Just listen to it on spootify and yes now I can hear it xD

Oh true! I remember the first time I heard it, it scared me so much haha.
But I prefer that version above the 'abrupt ending'.

With everything what's going on in Ayu's life. Is the man supposed to be Max? Is this like a 'letter' she sent to Max, and he's like: Aw shit, here we go again.
Exactly like, your ex sents you a text with a full explanation and you are not interested in hearing it?

When I first listened to monochrome, it was the album version and I thought it’s a destroyed file. I thought that until I heared the original mix from the A single...

in my case I think I was forewarned about this song in a FAQ page on a website (was it Eneabba? was it DivineAYU? I can't remember), basically saying that yes, the song is meant to end abruptly and that your file is not corrupted :laugh

Once I was listening to monochrome on the stere player and then it abruptly ends and my mom shouted to me: "it was not me (who turn it off)!!" lol

Try listening to it with headphones. You miss a lot of stuff like that if you only ever play music over speakers.

Taishaku 28th October 2019 09:31 PM

It's because she sings the lyrics "because I am strong", but the door slamming proves otherwise.
Interesting choice that turns the album into a concept project.
