Long standing Ayu rumors you've never believed?
 

That she was actually banned from Music Station for some stupid bust up about not being given the seat next to the hosts for their 25th anniversary.

She was banned from MUSIC STATION but because she had too many strikes of missing scheduled appearances. One of them was when she broke her hand around Christmas and the last one was when she missed her flight from the US. They basically shunned her for the year or two after that not even sending flowers to her concerts. But it's been done with for a while now.

The rumors of multiple abortions or dating Urata Naoya were always not that believable imo.

Multiple abortions and STDs....

I always thought it was AKB being preferred over her for that special that was the rumor for her cancelling, and that the airplane excuse was just the “official” reason.

Also, shame on MS for using an injury as a reason to give her a strike—but that’s Japan for you... (Assuming this is true.)

This is an interesting thread though. I thought I’d be able to think of more examples but nothings coming to mind lol.

I think any time that they planned ahead of time for a show it's pretty serious since they either have to find a replacement or just fill time in somehow.

She documented not being able to get back to Japan during that period iirc but I think some online things theorized it was AKB. She was supposed to do beloved that time I believe, was it even a special or just a normal episode?

Besides the awful rumors of the abortion there was a very old rumor that Ayu wasn't just frequent at Velfarre, she was also a hostess. Not that it's something shameful, but I don't really picture her being a hostess at all.

Honestly they did a lot of that 'winky' stuff on Twitter. Like the memory about a picture of a shower window peeking outside and then... yeah.

Many times I've read that she owns a soccer team (Fukuoka's angels or something like that) a small food chain and has her own vodka brand, is it actually true? or was it real at some point but not anymore?

I think there that was also another thing about Music Station: that they didn't wanted her to sing Why... with JUNO on the show and she went for it anyway. And it added up on her being banned from the show for 2 years or something.

Also the rumour that she and Jaejoong (from Tohoshinki) had an affair.

I think that happened with avex and a-nation, she wanted to sing it with JUNO but then avex wanted her to do it with Urata Naoya? I remember that she was slated to do beloved and then it just never got performed because she missed the show. She did Life in 2011 then ANother song + Why... with JUNO at a show a bit after, then was slated to do beloved for the SP and then missed her appearance.

I don't think she ever owned things like that but she has collaborated with some places or has been given gifts like champagne with the "A" on it. Like there is that whole misconception about MTRLG being her brand but I think she was just closely involved with it for tours and a few pieces.

An Old rumor stating she was acting like a diva during her trip in Thailand back in 2002 and was disrespectful with the royals princess... I just can’t picture her acting bad with someone of this level ...

The fact she has a ghostwriter. It’s not something we can proof for her or any other singers actually but in the case of Ayu I don’t believe this rumor at all !

Another one is the the alleged rivalry between Ayu and Namie Amuro in the beginning of the 00’s. there was a rumor that Ayu called Namie "the monkey head" and Namie called Ayu "the makeup monster" lol but since then a lot of rumors have been created by gossip involving them...

One Rumon is about ayu in 2003 wanted to planned ASIA TOUR 2003 but SARS....so cancelled

Avex pulled the JUNO thing fast to comply when SM blacklisted JYJ. Weird that it even happened...

I remember the rumor that during a concert she asked to everyone to stand up and then there was a wheelchair person in the first row and she didn't realized it was someone with disabilities and she kept asking this person to stand up. lol I've read this a few times.

Yeah that was pretty early on during a CDL like 00-01 or so but it was actually a staffer that she knew. It spread on 2ch pretty fast.
