This sentence is usually ended with "Britney Spears" but most Ayu fans dissagree with that. So which American singer you think is most like Ayu? For some reason, I feel like Hilary Duff is a possible contender. She's pretty popular, and she also has her own clothing line. But it might be too soon to tell, since she's relatively new to the music scene.

I would agree with Madonna in that Madonna reinvented herself often, and Ayu went through many changes through each album release. Otherwise, I would said that there is very little about Ayu that can be directly correlated to any American artist. Though Ayu is considered JPop, her style is not like most other JPop artists and certainly not like most American pop artists.

Hilary Duff? hell no!
