Pop babe Britney Spears has enlisted the acting skills of her older brother Bryan for the video of her forthcoming single My Prerogative.

On the star's official website, Spears' mother Lynne reveals the Toxic singer has been filming the promo for her cover of the Bobby Brown new jack swing classic and has signed her 27-year-old sibling to star alongside her.

Spears cancelled the second North American leg of her Onyx Hotel world tour in June after she injured her knee during the video for another single, Outrageous.

After undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery, Spears has been relaxing with her fiancé Kevin Federline in Hawaii and their Santa Monica, California home.

Lynne explains: "Britney's knee is slowly healing. She's starting to walk better and better each day. Currently, she's shooting her video for My Prerogative at the Paramour in Los Angeles.

"The video itself is going to be like none other. Since Britney's knee is unable to do choreography, the video is all about capturing gorgeous close ups and very subtle movement. It has an element of old Hollywood glamour and mystery - I think you'll love it.

"Please look for that good looking hunk of a son of mine in the video - he has a cameo right at the beginning."

The reported $7.2m (€5.9m) video is set to include a mock wedding scene and Spears crashing a car into a swimming pool.

what? My Prerogative as a 4th single? that doesnt make sense. thats not even on the "in the zone" album so it would be the first single off of a brand new album? besides, even if it (were) on the in the zone cd, it would be the 5th single.

its on itll be on her greatest hits in stores this november and for the greatest hits cd that will be a brand new song made especially for the cd

It says forthcoming single...that doesn't mean number 4. That means one that is coming in the future. And it's going to be on her "best" CD.

I thought she was putting her fiancé in this, not her brother. O_o

Britney Spears is keeping it all in the family for her forthcoming "My Prerogative" video: Two of the closest men in her life are making cameos.

Spears' brother, Bryan, makes a brief appearance in the beginning of the video, while her fiancé, Kevin Federline, plays a crucial part at the end.

Spears' mother posted on the singer's website Monday, telling fans to keep an eye out for "that good-looking hunk of a son of mine," while also describing some of the shoot itself, and how the production managed to work around the singer's injury.

"Since Britney's knee is unable to do choreography, the video is all about capturing gorgeous close-ups and very subtle movement," Lynne Spears wrote. "It has an element of old Hollywood glamour and mystery."

Part of that mystery, though, comes from the video's story line, which makes it appear that Britney has crashed a party -- literally -- and needs a new dress after hers is soaked from driving into the pool.

After going to a bedroom and putting on a new dress, she makes her way to the party outside, where people are gathered, looking like they are waiting for someone, something. Only then is it revealed that the dress the singer put on is a wedding dress, and the party she's crashed is her own wedding.

As she walks down the aisle, the groom is then revealed to be Federline, her real-life future husband (see "It's True: Britney's Engaged"), according to a source close to Spears, and the video's statement is then made all the more clear, as she sings rebelliously, "It's my prerogative."

Spears' Greatest Hits: My Prerogative LP is due November 16.
