Overrated Ayu songs and underrated songs
 

Which songs do you think Ayu's done that are overrated? I think M is WAY overrated... I didn't find it that good, the remixes rock though. Naturally, UNITE!, and Kanariya are overrated songs too in my opinion

In terms of underrated songs I think a song is born is WAY underrated, it's such a beautiful song and the duet is fantastic! The song has so much meaning behind it too. Others would be Real me, Heartplace, P.S II, and WHATEVER those are great songs in my opinion. What does everyone else think?

UNITE! and Kanariya can't really be overrated, not that many people love it passionately...

I find 'Because of You' is the most overrated. It could do with a better arrangment, the guitar riff is so generic and everybody thinks it's hard rock just because it's loud and banging. Funny thing is I've seen people who love this song complaining of BOUNCEBACK...

P.S.II is underrated I agree with you, 'immature' and 'too late' are also somewhat neglected. Album songs on her earlier albums like Key~eternal tie ver.~, Duty are somewhat underrated, but it could be due to the fact that the newbies just hasn't even heard of them at all...

Powder Snow, Hana, and Two of Us are underrated, IMO. As for overrated, I guess Evolution, M, and Because of You would fit the category, although GAME is a bit overrated these days (probably because it's still a bit new and differs greatly from Inspire).

M is overrated. And I do think that UNITE!, Girlish, End of the World and Naturally are a little Underrated. Since they are most of my favorite songs. Free & Easy could be underrated also and Heartplace. Also everywhere nowhere.

Lol it's interesting to see all of these opinions...

I think that Dearest, July 1st, and Naturally tend to be overrated at times, especially the first two, since they just don't do anything for me. However, underrated songs to me are End roll, still alone, and End of the World.

CAROLS (wtf!)

Underrated: SCAR, A Song is Born, P.S. II, No More Words, Connected, INSPIRE

Oh man Dearest is not overrated....it deserves its rightful place!!

To me, the most overrated song has to be Memorial Address. The crappy chorus and that Keiko-sound-alike backup singer really ruined the song...the most underrated song is probably vogue

Girlish is the most underated songs i think. I wish she'd made more songs like this as well as "I am...".

I can't say M is over-rated because it really is a good song and I still like listening to it years after it came out .. :love

Underrated songs are probably Real Me (first Ayu song I fell in love with) and I am ... (this song doesn't get performed much sadly)

I think 'Moments' is a bit overrated... *shocked that it beat 'UNITE!' in the Ayu Best Song Contest*

'M' is definitely overrated even though its such a great song, I can find many others to match up or surpass its greatness... 'Fly high' is overrated too...

Underrated I think would be 'As If...', 'For My Dear...', 'And Then', 'Over', and 'no more words'...

I think that Endless Sorrow and M are too way overrated songs. For undarrated songs.. too late, and then, Over, and Still alone.

I don't like when things are called "overrated"; it takes away from the song's credibility and is a little insulting to people who really appreciate the song (it kinda makes them seem like sheep). Good music is good music, and people's tastes differ.

I think her singles are generally recieved with big ceremony because people wait for them with their necks outstretched. And her singles are generally kick ass songs. But a lot of her album-only tracks are looked over or lost in the hubbub, particularly pre-I am... tracks. That's probably because the online Ayu community wasn't really well developed until around that time, when fans could get word out about songs like we do here.

yeah i agree. moments really IS overrated. real me is one of my favvorite songs and it is really underrated :( also, everyhwere nowhere, girlish, connected and some others. there are so many great ayu songs that don't get the attention they deserve!
