Maybe I'm blind and oblivious or maybe other people has noticed it too but in one of the scans of Hamasaki's Deji Deji Diary volume 50, she's flashing a pretty good 1.5-2 carot diamond ring on her left hand.

I noticed that in the recent Deji Deji Diary, but I wasn't sure if that was actually an engagement ring or not as I'm not a ring expert. It's rumored that there's supposed to be an announcement tomorrow about this from Avex if it is indeed true, but I'm still somewhat doubtful about this, as CAROLS would be released shortly afterwards. Other rumors seem to hint that she'd retire after the NHK Kouhaku, but we'll definately know for sure by tomorrow.

There was an interview with her a looong time ago (about 2 or 3 months after dating the dork *imo) in which it was a panel and someone in the audience asked? Where did you get that ring from? She got really shy and simply said "My boyfriend got it for me" but there is no engagement announcement yet

Not that I know a lot about it, but that just doesn't look like an engagement ring to me. Time will tell though, right?

she cant be retiring...shes still got an album to put out..shes said so herself..

I have a feeling she will retire after her next album, the 'CAROLS' PV seems very 'retire-ish'... :(

does anyone have a better quality at least bigger clearer pic. I can't read the characts well enough to translate. and the more I look at it with the blurred "Chanel" in the caption. It doesn't look like the ring she had at the interview I mention previously. It looks like a chanel ring, which isn't very glamorous.

She basically says it's her new watch. Kind of a love at first sight sort of thing when she saw it, which is why she drew the face (she was like, "KYAA~").
