Rina Aiuchi new album "Playgirl" out 12/15!

I've been trying to figure out forever what this Playgirl thing Rina Aiuchi's official site was talking about, and finally I realize it's a new album!! haha
According to Rina's official site:

http://mywebpage.netscape.com/I%20Ch...%20I/4th_a.jpg (I don't think this is the official cover of the album, but it's what the official site has lol)

The track list is as follows:
01.「PLAYGIRL」
02.「START」
03.「Boom-Boom-Boom」
04.「STEP UP!」
05.「CONTROL ME, RESCUE ME」
06.「wonderful danger」
07.「LOVE-FORMATION」
08.「NEVERENDING WINTER」
09.「Dream × Dream」
10.「MISS YOU」
11.「Seductive Medicine」
12.「V.I.P」
13.「GIRLS PLAY」
*bonus track 「Dream × Dream -Love & Wishes Version-」(初回盤のみ)

YesAsia shows that there is are limited versions + regular versions of this album, but since I'm not literate in Japanese I don't know what the difference is :(

This album features TEN new songs, plus a remix (the DreamxDream one...)
I'm excited yet nervous about this release. I don't really like her image change.. the name of the album is like @.@ and the song titles are a bit.. er.. well.. "seductive medicine"? x.x I don't want her to sell based on a sexy image :( I hope her songs will be good...

EDIT:
LOL oops I read one of the titles wrong.. I thought it said "seductive machine" but it's "seductive medicine" ^__________^;;;;

she kinda reminds me of ayu... they have a similar face

and her first single cover looks like a hairstyle ayu had around that time... hmm funny how they are both becoming sexy?

thanks for the news!

That picture looks nice, I like her hair since...she doesn't look good with bangs.

Don't you know back in the LOVEppears days there was a bit of Ayumi Hamasaki vs. Rina Aiuchi going on? ;)

First press bonus is just the bonus track and original footage for use on a cell-phone.

Playgirl?
That would be a magazine featuring men.
HAH

imagina12y 10th November 2004 01:26 AM

yeah, when aiuchi rina debuted everyone accused her of being an ayu-clone. :rolleyes

i don't like how so many female artists are resorting to selling themselves as sex symbols...sometimes less is more :yes

i like that pic of hers!!! And good to know a new album is coming! Thanks for the news Larisa!

EHHHHHH?? Is it because of their speaking voice? Rina uses that anime-ish high voice when she speaks (it sounds .. weird) But music wise I don't find any similarities, and I think Rina and Ayu look totally different o.o

The bonus track of "DreamxDream" is a piano version, to be exact. Thanks for the tracklisting Larisa-chan. =)

nope, Rina is with studio GIZA (same one that Mai Kuraki is in). I'm surprised that she and her workers decided to release the album the 15th of December. Last year they released the A.I.R. album with no competition, so she naturally hit number 1.

Wow. Released the same day as MY STORY... hmmm.... who do you think will get the most album sales that day?

~K+ 11th November 2004 12:19 AM

It's kinda obvious Ayu's going to be the higher selling one over Rina and Amuro...

Ayaya also seems to like charging head on into big competitions and fail to get No.1

ayaya? hahaha. :)

Around that time they both looked pretty similar (bleached hair, big eyes, pale and small frame). Both had the same electronic sound/feel to their music and similar fashion styles. I would add that they both didn't dance, but then again not very many jpop singers do that anyway. :rolleyes

People always have a tendency to compare new artists to those that came before...like how Kuraki Mai was considered the new Hikki rip-off (and my friend the die-hard hikki fan hates her to this day :P )

ayumi_pukka89 11th November 2004 06:14 PM

hot :0:::....
^^;

ImpactBreaker 11th November 2004 06:52 PM

LOL That's original...but wasn't it supposed to be PLAYBOY? ahahha Either that or rina aiuchi is a....XP

Biscuit 11th November 2004 07:18 PM

Ugh, nasty cover. It's just like the magazine and everything. And yeah, Playgirl is for girl's and features guys in it's pictures. I really enjoyed Rina's Power of Words and AIR albums, but I don't think this one will be on my to get list...
