Ayu-mi-x VI?
 

Hmmm. Why wasn't there any Ayu-mi-x VI/Ayu-ro-mix 4/Ayu-trance 4 this year? Kind of sad... I'm going on a road trip this weekend and I'm bringing all the Non-Stop Megamix CDs with me, and I realized it's been over a year since we had a new remix CD...

I'd like to see a new Eurobeat one, but I think it'd be a little weird with the music she's been releasing lately...

Ayu Trance no. Unless they sound like Tai's. :D

Eurobeat still sells well in Japan if I remember correctly... I don't know if Trance does though... So, I doubt Avex would spend money on a Trance album if they know it won't sell...

Avex probably just doesn't want to spend as much money on her anymore...

i think they'll release another set after My Story. The remix albums r usually based off of original albums ( Ayu-mi-x 1/ASFXX, Ayu trance/ayu-mi-x 2 off of LOVEppears, RMXWORKS off RAINBOW). Since Memorial Address was a mini-album, they'd have to remix old songs along with the MA songs, or release "mini remix albums"...and neither woudl be too appealing. Since My Story is a full album, they might have more remix albums^^

Since MY STORY is a full album this time, they might and I hope they will release a remix album for all the prevouis songs... I'm looking forward to these new remixes XD

I hope they release at least one remix album after MY STORY but I wouldn't be that surprised if it didn't happen (weren't the sales not-too-great for the last set of remixes?). Still, I'll be very happy if we get more remixes of her 03-04 songs.

Yeah, I don't think the sales for the past couple of remix albums have really been that great. I'm pretty sure that the RMX Works idea didn't go as well as planned... I'm sure they'll release another remix album after My Story though.

wel, a few reasons. A: there was no new album to make one with (well, unless u count the 8 MA songs). and B: sales are not too hot with remix albums. theyve been going downhill, so i wouldnt be suprised if they stopped the ayu-mi-x series altogether. :shrug i myself am waiting for an ayutrance or ayuro. wouldnt be suprised if they never came though. o poo.

The reason is avex is not paying US+EU DJs anymore (That was clearly noticeable with ayu-mi-x V and that explains the lack of remixes lately), H/\L has become weaker and they only have been relying mostly on the "Dub's" remixes. The lack of songs is not a reason though because how many remixes do we have of Free&Easy and Real me? How many remixes do we have from RAINBOW (the song)? blah blah blah There's plenty of songs lacking remixes and that could still have some work done on them. :lech :lech

any song is remixable.
take mark morrison & conner reeves - best friend (mash up matt remix) for an example. the original is a hip hop track, and the trance remix is completely hi energy an totally banging. it doesnt even resemble the original song in any way.
or take britney spears - everytime (above and beyond remix) for example. the only vocal it has is the line 'and this song is my sorry'. otherwise you cant even tell it is a britney song.
