I should have read the newspaper more often. ayu was on the newspaper 4 times last week and i didnt know.

anyway, just to remind you, the correct attitude of reading a hong kong newspaper is to read, laugh and forget.

in addition, because ayu will not appear in any awards ceremony this yearm hence ayu was not on the list of winners on the (?) '37th japan cable awards' that was announced yesterday. this year, the winners include ??, ???, exile etc. the newcomers award winners include otsuka ai, ???, ???, and the 'cable music award' is won by ???, w-inds etc.

"Oriental Daily" seems to have a minor obsession with Ayumi. Your translations are very readable and the notes useful.Hmmm sounds to me like they changed their nominations after she snubbed them.

I guess she's left promotion of the new album a bit late and therefore wants to concentrate on getting the new songs shown on TV instead of performing ones from earlier in the year.

well oriental daily has one page dedicated to japanese and korean artists, and they either talk about ayumi or boa. thats why ayumi is on the newspaper every other day

ic ic ... seems like quite a lot of asian mag or newspaper will do that.. it seems like jpop or kpop has already been widely accepted ^^

So this means ayumi doesn't like the japan awards place and that's why she quit? Correct me if I'm wrong..xD I thought she backed off because she wannit others to get a shot. haha. hmm.

if she really backed off cos she wanted to give other a chance, she could have dont it right after she got the awards for no way to say. she didnt. she waited nearly a year to decide. so this means this cannot be the reason.
