Does anybody feel like the begining of HOPE or PAIN sounds a little too familiar to the chours Joan Osboune song 'What If God Was One Of Us?" ?

weeeeeird, it's not one of my favorite songs on that album, so I haven't listened to it enough, but I will now, I'm sure I'll agree... interesting...

For me, it always reminded me of "(There's Gotta Be) More To Life" by Stacie Orrico...I uploaded a clip a while back comparing the songs...maybe it's just me...

It's one heck of a similarity when it sounds almost exactly like two other songs...coincidence, sure, maybe, but it's still pretty darn weird...

I don't think they sound alike, it's just the first 3 notes that has the similar tune, after that it's COMPLETELY different. I don't think the composer knows about the song "what if god was one of us", and he is not copying it for sure.

Yeah, it does sound similar to both "What If God Was One of Us" and and Stacie Orrico song. Weird.

It sounds a bit like them, but that never ruined the song for me. I think it is a really great song!
