Scissor Sisters
 

So the Scissor Sisters are going to be signing CDs at my nearest Virgin Records store, so I thought I would check them out. I bought their CD and I think it is amazing! Has anyone else heard it and likes it? I'm not a big Elton John-type fan, but I really like the sound it has.
I have also been forbidden to ask, "Hey, when will you bring *insert rival here* to the US?" when I meet them, so as not to repeat The Utada Incident. :laugh

I don't like their first singles, but I love their Pink Floyd cover... "Comfortably Numb". :D :D :D

Most ppl criticize them for doing their own version of that song, but i think it's a great remake... I don't have their cd yet, can't wait do hear it!!! :love

I like most of the songs on the album, but when Jake sings in that really annoying falsetto, it kinds ruins 'em for me. *sigh*

their album is great. but i'm not a big fan of jake's falsetto too...

My Dad was horrifyed when he heard Comfortably Numb. Pink Floyd is his favorite band ever, and when he heard the Scissor Sisters version, he nearly cried! :P Apparently two versions are VERY different!

No, not yet, I'm going to on the 30th. I'm very excited!!

Yesterday I went to the Scissor Sisters signing, and I had a very interesting time. The line went out the door and onto the street, so my friend and I were standing in the sun and peering into the windows of the Virgin Megastore. When the Scissor Sisters appeared and were walking to their table I frantically waved at them, and they all saw me and smiled, and Paddy Boom waved back. About half an hour later it was finally my turn to sign. I took pictures of them with my phone, so those can be uploaded later if anyone wants to see. Jake surprisingly was very quiet and looked horrible, almost like he was hung over. All the other guys were pretty quiet too, and Ana Matronic was definitely the nicest. She took time to have a nice little conversation with everyone, while the others just kind of signed and posed for pictures. But I had a really really fun time!

Paddy Boom is my favorite. ^_^ I like Jake too, just not his voice. @_@
