Ayu @ Aichi Expo

March 2, Ayu performed 'a song is born' at the Aichi Expo which was composed by Yutaka Sado. (Most likely a bonus track on MY STORY CLASSICAL?) She will perform again on the 24th of March.

Ayu at The 2005 World Exposition opening ceremony

Might as well post this although there are no pictures and I don't know if it will be broadcast :shrug

Ayu is scheduled to perform an orchestral version of "A Song is born" at the opening ceremony of The 2005 World Exposition in Aichi on March 24 2005. The ceremony is open to 2500 invited guests only, apparently most of them are dignitaries, etc.

Not exactly. ;) "A Song is born" was written by Tetsuya Komuro and she didn't perform anything yet. They just announced the participants.

It looks as if it is going to be one of the key performances of Ayu's career! Performing in front of the Emperor and the Prime Minister of Japan, and accompanied by a full orchestra conducted by a top Japanese conductor definitely sounds huge. "A Song is born" is perfect for the occasion.

I wonder which came first - did they come up with the idea of a classical album when they were planning this performance, or was it just a coincidence that she has a chance to perform in classical style just when she's releasing a classical album?

I have a feeling this will atleast be filmed. Things like this has to be recorded. Everything these days are recorded. There is a need of historical archive you know.
