Amano Tsukiko New Single: Koe (Voice)

After the smashing success of Chou (Butterfly) as the theme song for Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly, 零~紅い蝶~, Amano Tsukiko is back yet again with another song, Koe, as the new theme song for Fatal Frame 3: The Tormented, 零 ~刺青の聲~.

The new single cover for the song is out already.

Her image is yet again in conjunction with that of the Fatal Frame game, spotting a snake tattoo and presenting a new gothic lolita image.

To get a sample of the PV and of the song, visit the website of Otokura Records at http://www.otokura.com/index.html.

I think that Koe sounds really great! But for the moment I still prefer Chou, it seems more power packed than Koe! But I have to wait till the full song before I make a decision.

Amano Tsukiko is one of the BEST female singers in Japan, but her speciality is on the low beats, that means she's like the BEST "Low Pitched" singer. I won't really say she's low pitched though, but more of a base sound.

Haha, it's a direct translation from chinese because in the newspapers, they write "di1 ying1" which literally means "low pitched". But yar, discover her for yourself!

She's really been excellent in her songs! She's a songwriter, composer and producer by the way! Haha, she puts in a lot of effort into her songs with all the rock elements and unique tunes! Too bad she doesn't get that much popularity as opposed to the rest of the mainstream singers.

I only found out about her through the Fatal Frame game ...

'Chou' 蝶 is Butterfly, and 'Koe' 聲 is Voice.

going underground, I continued to dig a hole
without knowing how far it would go
my scoop, wet by the earth in one hand,
I searched for your arm.

patching together a patchwork happiness
As I sowed the seed, I was crushed by your strength.

burning hot, burning hot
the marks your palms left behind can't be removed.
i rip a whole through the clouds dyed red by my torn wings
look for me, flying with ease

where will this eternity I envisioned, secluded within my cocoon
take seed and blossom into a flower, I wonder?
soon the morning will bring back the dark night
and take my eyes.

feeling my way on top of you, by the moonlight.
tangled up, I believed I could be your resting place.

burn out, burn out no going back to the place I promised
running across the earth stained black
by the pain of being torn apart
look for me, flying with ease

If you can't hear me screaming, destroy me by your hand
while I can still be called "me".
your arms that catch me, turn to a peaceful dust
and again I look quietly to the heavens.

burning hot, burning hot,
the marks your palms left behind can't be removed
i rip a whole through the clouds dyed red by my torn wings
burn out, burn out no going back to the place I promised.
running across the earth stained black by the pain of being torn apart
look for me, flying with ease

Translator's Notes: Chou is the theme song from Fatal Frame 2: Red Butterfly.

Can't find the translation for Koe, can only find romanised ones.

Mad_Cactuar 27th December 2005 05:37 AM
