Ayu's achievements in movies...
 

Did Ayu win any awards for starring in Tsuki Ni Shizumu? And other than that, did Tsuki Ni Shizumu win any awards? Why hasnt Ayu acted in another movie? And for her first movie, wasnt it too challenging for her to act so beautifully? (saw Voyage...)

It wasn't Ayu's first movie. Hamasaki was an actress before she became a singer.

In my opinion, the short film and acting in it weren't good enough to be considered for any awards. :shrug

I consider "Tsuki ni Shizumu" an extended PV because it was promoted so heavily along with "Voyage". As far as I know, no awards were given to this particular short. Ayumi had voiced her negative views about being an actress in the past, so it is doubtful she would do a feature film in the future. All her past movies (pre-1995 I think) were pretty bad.

Wow, that bad? I'd like to watch a few of her movies though... just to see her acting.

I'd like for Ayu to start in a new movie too, like Mika.

me too.. Ayu has the looks and the abilities.. her PV's showcase her acting skills- voyage, fairyland, is this love, rainbow, and about everything else.. Pity they dont have subtitles in the DVD for Tsuki Ni Shizumu... :(

Ayu acted in other movies like shimomo momo and ladys ladys...something like that

I don't think she would have enough time to act and sing...

good point, i wont want her to take a break from singing.. I CANT LIVE WITHOUT HER SONGS :luv2 !!!

I saw the "Ladys Ladys" one with the female biker gang. It was so painful to watch. A weak story coupled with Ayumi's poor acting (she was too young to really develop her skills, especially in a bad film). Maybe some people liked it but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

However, hope she makes one blockbuster movie in the future and make herself as famous as Zhang Ziyi... If thats possible.. I read that she hated the filming process of Tsuki Ni Shizumu..
