I just found this guy on the net.
does he have any CDs of him playing this style?

~ayu-cake~ 27th January 2006 01:15 PM

He doesn't usually play like that on any of his albums.
You usually find him doing that on shows etc.. or concerts :D

Lumix 27th January 2006 02:53 PM

He's miyavi.

He has some song in this style. Try his single Are you ready to ROCK?

RebornLS 27th January 2006 02:56 PM

somebody needs to hook me up with some videos of him doing that stuff.

sexysaucestar 28th January 2006 08:32 AM

Wow, that's pretty awesome. I've heard of Miyavi before, but I didn't know he was so talented (no offense)...I just never really saw what all the hype was about.

JimmyKoria 28th January 2006 08:07 PM

Sweer 29th January 2006 06:57 PM

^thanks for uploading it Hazuki :D

and that is awesome, I didnt know he was that skilled O.O
I gotta show this to my former guitar tutor, maybe he knows how to play this style...

btw does anyone know what the "382" is supposed to mean?
he's got it tattooed on his left hand fingers and its written on his guitar as well

Hazuki 29th January 2006 08:27 PM

^ not sure what the 382 means.. I read it was something about his name.. O___O;

Ryoko 29th January 2006 11:02 PM

Yeah, Miyavi's got some acoustic guitar skills! He had this song, a cover of his old group's actually, dear...from XXX. That showed off some acoustic guitar skill.

Ryoko 29th January 2006 11:07 PM

The edit button's not working, but could you also give me the link for the video?

Delirium-Zer0 31st January 2006 04:25 AM

"mi-ya-bi" is a way to pronounce 382. Koshi Inaba uses 178 ("i-na-ba"), and i've heard of other artists doing it with their names too. And business phone numbers do this also... they make their phone numbers spell out phrases like US phone numbers sometimes spell words.

Lumix 31st January 2006 09:43 PM

Wow you're miyavi fan?

That's good to know; I wondered about what "mi-ya-bi" meant. I remember my Japanese professor talking about the play on phone numbers as well.

Hazuki 2nd February 2006 11:11 PM

That's quite cool, miyabi being a way to say 382!
Phone numbers having words in them are awesome! :D
