What is this? (auction)
I thought people here might find this interesting, since it contains a picture of young Ayu I haven't seen before: Auction
My question is, why does the item cost 12,000 yen?(roughly $120.00) I can't tell for sure what the item is either. It looks like a trading card or even a phone card, but the price is way to high for that. I've seen auctions w/ magazines of young Ayu, pictures etc that are no where near that high. |

It looks like a trading card or something...the quality of the picture is bad x_x; Wonder if it is even a real thing or they're just trying to feed off of people's fandom with Ayu..o_o

Yep a trading card. Anyhow that's what it looks for me. Also I think it's around her modelling era.

^ Ah, I see, you figured it out! Wow...well, I bet the people trying to sell the cards are now like "Oooh I can make cash off of my old phone cards! They have AYU on them!" Hahahah :laugh I guess one person's junk really is another person's treasure, or something. ;)

I can confirm that it's a telephone card (it says so in the item description subject line).
The reason it is rare is because it was by mail-request only. I don't know about those other telecards but if that's the case with them, that could explain the boost in auction price. |

Yeah, they're REALLY rare phone cards. If you're a collector, they're worth that much money. Avex has only issued one official one that I've seen, for the "YOU" single, and it goes for about the same amount of money as these ones. The more common ones are all the morinaga ones, they're really easy to find. I've seen Visee ones too but I'm not sure if they're official or not.

thanks goodness i had already give up on my phonecard collection, or i would be so tempt to buy. i used to love phonecards a lot, till they start to get harder and harder to find. mum made me give up my hobby years ago.

maybe the person broght the cards back then. now that ayu is so famous, she decide to sell off.
