How do I play japanese DVD's?

I'm at school and class is about to start so I have to hurry....
Umm... I have a ps2 that can play DVD's, but not a dvd player. How do I play japanese dvd's, like an ayu music video?

I think your PS2 should be a Region 2 type DVD player for it to play japanese DVD's.

It must be a Japanese PS2 unless you know the code to make it multi-regional. I'm not sure if regular PS2s have the code or not, but if you search online then you will probably be able to find one.

go to your toystore and ask if they mod ps2 also make sure to ask what chip it is cuz not all modchip make the ps2 region free. or if you want easy way out you go and buy gameshark2 or dvd region x that will let you play your japanese dvd.

get an all-region or region 2 dvd player to play japanese dvds.
same thing for a ps2, although im not sure there's such a thing as an all-region ps2. :P

I don't know much about mod-chip but I heard back then messiah was good... and I think there is messiah 2 also...

messiah chips does not let you play all regions.
