Dolby Laboratories, Inc. today demonstrated how surround sound completes the high-definition experience at HD2 EMOTION, an event in the exclusive Omotesando Hills retail center. The company exhibited Dolby(R) TrueHD, its newest technology geared toward new high-definition DVD players, for the first time to Japanese audiences.

The event, which is open to the public, features high-definition musical excerpts from Ayumi Hamasaki ("STEP You" and "Is This LOVE?"), Lee Ritenour ("Anthology Live"), Keith Jarrett ("Tokyo Solo 2002"), and the San Francisco Symphony (Stravinsky's Firebird). In addition, Dolby is showing animation features, including Warner Bros. Pictures' Brave Story and Production I.G.'s Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, 2nd Gig. Nothing important, but I think it's cool they picked Ayu for their demos out of all the music choices. :D

Ayumi was no doubt chosen due to her popularity & on-screen image, rather than the sound.

Sorry to say this but I don't consider any of the albums as having "HiFi" sound quality & production.

^I'm no judge as I'm not an expert at that area, the music is done by professionals so I have nothing to say. I understand and sort of agree with what you are saying, though.

Nice that they chose Ayu. But Ayu's songs in HD surround sound, I think my ears might bleed. xD

.....omg I can't imagine hearing evolution on like max volume with HD surround sound. OH MY EARs. xD
